If you're using a pressure bleeder where you pump a bug sprayer and the air goes thru the fluid to pressurize the container, you're introducing fine bubbles into the fluid that will go into the brake reservoir and ultimately into the brake system. I like to pour the fluid directly into the reservoir, pressurize and then manual bleed in addition. This way, between pumps, there is always positive pressure forcing fluid out. Having said all of this, I recently put my stock front calipers on for a while and the pedal feel when back to hell. I then put the movits back on up front and the pedal feel was awesome. While installing the movits, I noticed one of the seals pulled out so I rebuilt the fronts. Rebled but I think I didn't get all the air out so pedal feel isn't as great as it is normally. I have 7 ten double spoke II wheels for sale. They are as follows: 1) 4 17x7.5 with Dunlop SP Winter Sport MZ 225/45 ZR17. Plenty of tread left 2 of the wheels have small curb rash. 2) 1 17x7.5 with Sumitomo HTRZ II 235/40 ZR17. Like new wheel with zero miles tire. This one rode around in the trunk. 3) 2 17x8 (or ist it 8.5) wheels in excellent condition. Mix and match, let me know what you need. Pictures for all except the wide wheels can be seen at http://groups.msn.com/MMan/shoebox.msnw The wide wheels have been boxed in storage for 3years and are in excellent shape. Send me requests with your best offer. Bill Molina _________________________________________________________________ Tired of spam? Actually, I am only interested in the wheel, but will take both and sell the tire on eBay if you do not want to separate. Let me know what price you were thinking. I am located in the SF Bay Area, where are you located? Thanks, -- Rex Tener rex_tener@yahoo.com

I use the latter method: pour fluid into reservoir, then pressurize with compressed air using Steve D'G adapter cap. Use combination of pressure and pedal action to bleed, remove cap and top up reservoir with fluid as necessary. Neil 96 - "Mr. Softy"

He changed MC's twice and replaced both calipers and the flex-lines trying to figure out why the pedal was soft. He hit the calipers with a dead-blow hammer while bleeding, and the pedal was still soft. Finally, after working on this one car for well over 6 hours (therefore he was now working for FREE), he asked the shop owner for help. The owner says "remove the calipers without disconnecting the brake lines, shake them, the bleed them with the bleed screw pointing up (so the fluid waste hole is pointing straight up, not horizontal). This is a two person operation. Sure enough, he got more air out of the system and upon replacing the calipers the pedal was now very firm. Might help, might not, but if you got more time than money, it's free to check it out. Mel

Date: Mon, 14 Apr 2003 20:03:49 -0500 From: "M-Power" <M-Power@austin.rr.com> Subject: Hot Bleeding Brakes Has anyone else heard of hot bleeding your brakes? I was @ TWS this last weekend and a race mechanic that has been working on race cars for 25 years told me about hot bleeding brakes. He did this for a friend with an RX-7 and it seemed to helped. After running some hot laps, come into the garage and do a VERY QUICK open/close of the brake bleeder valve on all 4 calipers. He claims that if there is an air bubble it will be right at the bleeder valve, at least on Porsches and BMWs. - Jim Hagerman
