The air is pressurized above the fluid and pushes the fluid into > the bottom drawing tube leading to the supply hose.

Park the car, push the pedal down, release, and push down again. How does the pedal feel on the second stroke? Normal? Leave the car for 4 hours, press the pedal ONCE, how does the pedal stroke feel? Normal? Roll the car at least so the tires rotate a few turns and stop the motion WITHOUT using the brakes. IE, push it on a level surface, and stop it by hand. Press the pedal ONCE, how does the pedal stroke feel? Abnormal? Reply back after the above tests are done. I am interested to hear/read the results." Tom Melton I let the car set. Result - two-stroke to firm pedal. Rolled the car a few yards. Result - two-stroke to firm pedal. I think I'll pressure-bleed them again and get back to ya'. Thanks! Kim Burgess

Hey I was up by you the other day calling on some customers in Palo Alto and also South San Francisco. How's everyone doing? I need an open track day. Actually, I haven't been out driving hard in so long I need to go to another DE event to brush up. How's Pit Bunny doing? She sent me a note for my birthday (how do people track this stuff?) and I asked her how things were going and she didn't write back. Donna are you on this list? Rich can pick on me all he wants. And my comment back wasn't pointed at Rich, it was to make fun of my world famous ummmm, personality flaws. :) Jim > > Easy Rich, easy. :-) > > Hiya Jim, welcome back. > > Jim Bassett

#8. Rear Suspension Project - from twisty M3
Top
Date: Thu, 17 Apr 2003 09:56:50 -0700 From: "twisty M3" <twistym3@hotmail.com> Subject: Rear Suspension Project So I had a goal of rebuilding my rear suspension (bushings, etc) at around 100k miles, and I just noticed how close I am... Already well over 99k, so it's time to start getting parts together. Shocks/springs are perfect, so I'm just looking to replace all the other wear items. If anyone has done this all in one shot, do you have a list of all the parts/numbers needed? If not, does anyone have a detailed diagram I can use as reference? I've currently got the E46M3 RSMs, and will probably replace them with the same (unless someone can really sell me on the idea of aftermarkets). I debated on going with Powerflex bushings for RTABs and diff mounts, but I think I'm going to stay stock... 100k miles on a heavily-tracked car isn't too bad. I will go with the Ground Control RTAB shims, however. Any other suggestions on what to replace while everything's taken apart? Thanks for any help, Jonathan L. _________________________________________________________________ Help STOP SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail

I used to worry you'd burn yourself to death :) On my part, old fart disease is spreading rapidly. I just spent an hour looking for a bottle of elmers glue. After the jubilation of finding the glue died down, I now can't find the damn thing I wanted to glue. I'm now trying desperately to remember where I left it laying in the glue search. I've got the bottle of glue in my pocket because I'm afraid that if I go look for the mirror to glue the backing on, I'll lose the glue again. This is scary.... :) Jim > LOL!
