#8. WTB Cold air intake - from Jason Knight

Date: Wed, 23 Apr 2003 21:45:53 -0700 (PDT) From: Jason Knight <knight2244@yahoo.com> Subject: WTB Cold air intake If anyone has a used cold air intake system I would like to buy one. I have a Dinan chip in my otherwise stock M3 (well, I do have the aftermarket underbody panel delete option), but I don't think that corresponding brand of intake particularly matters. Ok, let's make that "recognized" brand of intake - no homemade duct tape and pvc intakes please. The wife and I have our own little otc going on here: best time at WSIR at the May 24/25 event gets the garage. My stock M3 versus her American Iron Camaro. If I can just get below these M3 times I think I've got this one clinched: http://www.bmwccaclubracing.com/Archives/2002%20Series/Results/02WSIR.htm Shouldn't be a problem.... I'm also looking for a hot lapper readout and reciever if anyone has recently decided that they don't need theirs anymore. Jason P.S. Anyone that is planning on being there that weekend and wants to help me get those times down I'm open to assistance.

My mechanic, however, suggested that with this many miles, it's probably a good idea to replace ALL bushings in the rear of the car... so as to only pay the labor once. > >Tie rods are at the front... > Oops! Haven't actually spoke with my mechanic on this item, but was told by a fellow list member who frequents the same shop... I believe he stated that our mechanic won't replace those bushings without replacing the arms as well... After seeing the price, I'm sure my arms are good for at least another 100K. ;) > >So first maybe you ought to tell us what's going on here. > Sorry again... I forget that the whole list doesn't follow my issues as much as I do. ;) Jonathan L. _________________________________________________________________ MSN 8 with e-mail virus protection service: 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/virus
