If they say to replace those when doing bushings, without any damage to them, they are just doing filler work for extra money. Mike

Is this a completely stock M3 on street tires? H-Stock E36M3 with around 1:40 would probably be your best shot, but even that car had suspension work, race pads and, I think, Hoosiers. I'd bet that around 1:40 is possible in a stock M3 with good driver, but only on some sort of R-Compound. Going absolutely flat from 6 all the way through 8 and into the braking for 9 will be necessary to get the times you're shooting for, and that could get really interesting on street tires. ;) I might just have to come out and watch this. ;) ;) Jonathan L. _________________________________________________________________ Protect your PC - get McAfee.com VirusScan Online http://clinic.mcafee.com/clinic/ibuy/campaign.asp?cid=3963

Now, if I find that they're wanting to do filler work, however, my opinion could certainly change very quickly. I'll get in touch with him tomorrow to find out what he as to say about which parts to replace. I actually already have a good mechanic lined up as back up, but it's a bit further away. No hassles at the dealer, especially since my independent mechanic diagnosed the problem. Jim Bassett

RTAB definitely need to be replaced, but rear trailing arms?? Like Neil said, only if they are damaged in a wreck. My meager 2 cents, Jim Bassett

Yes, they are slower than other track tires, sound horrendous, squeal like crazy and are only good in the rain for about the first 3 days BUT - they also last forever, are way stickier than any street tire and seem to be indestructible. I get 10-12 days (yes, that's ten to twelve) out of a set, as opposed to 4-6 with Hoosiers. And I'm not going slow either - At Mid-O I can do 1:46.x on Hoosiers and 1:48.x on Yoko's. At most tracks I'm 1.5-2.5 seconds back from my Hoosier times, but then again, Hoosiers don't last for 12 days. IMHO, they are a great tire for lapping and schools - great bang for the buck.
