Hot pressures coming off the track were 42LF/41RF/39LR/38RR. My car has stock springs and shocks, and Eibach swaybars set for SOFT/SOFT. The tires are 235/45R17, not the more appropriate 235/40R17. As far as real COLD pressure (which I define as sitting overnight, and not in the sun during the day, which is almost impossible to do in a paddock), it would be about two pounds less per tire, or 33F/30R. #4. Grease Ploly RSMs? - from twisty M3

I'm fairly certain my E46M3 mounts have gone bad already (40k miles), as they seem to be making some noise, though something may just be loose. With the poly bushings, is there a any noise that accompanies them and, if so, has anyone tried greasing them to get rid of the sound? #6. Bad Cat? - from Shelhart2@aol.com

Date: Mon, 28 Apr 2003 19:08:50 EDT From: Shelhart2@aol.com Subject: Bad Cat? Group, I was driving the other day and felt a noticeable lack of power between 3500-4500 rpms. When stopped at a light I revved slightly and heard a little rattling (The car had been driven at 80mph for last 30 minutes). The next day the car was fine. Today, I felt a little of the same (after it had been going for about a half hour). When I got out of the car it smelled "hot". No issue with temp gauge. When I started this am I heard a short rumble (sounded like the cat/muffler vibrated against the sub frame). It immediately went away. Question: 1. I've got a Dinan setup and the exhaust is only about 1.5 years old. I doubt it would be exhaust?? 2. I've got 72k on the clock. What is the shelf life of the cat. Is there something that might cause premature failure I'm not thinking of (other than blowing oil?). 3. Is the cat converter covered under warranty? Thanks for the support. Shel Hart 1998 M3

Looking for some tips on removing the alternator pulley (Veleo). I have the 24mm socket but what the best way to hold the alternator so it will not spin. ** Any other pointers for doing this procedure would be greatly appreciated. W. There were 24 in the novice division. There was no overall results posted, but if there had been her team's time would have been third overall! Now, do I put this little first place plackard on my dash or not? I'm trying to figure out how to make it look like a "kill", although in a better sense than the typical story you hear from the kiddies on the message boards. Jason

There is a special tool that will allow a torx head to fit inside to hold the pulley, and then you turn the socket with a open end wrench. Others have just removed the alt. and used air tools. The neighbor method worked well for me. Chris 97 M3/4 ----- Original Message ----- > Hello all, > > I'm about to pick up a UUC Underdrive pulley set.
