This should be interesting!? Maybe, a call to TireRack is in order? First autox coming up Sunday. :-)) Bob Gill 97 ///M3 coupe Philly Region SCCA BSP Champ '01 and '02

He's an enthusiast and fellow moderator at Bimmerforums.com. Straight up guy and very trustworthy. He's been doing group buys on lighting stuff, et al, for some time now. GBs are not like walking in and buying something off the shelf. Sometimes there are delays. But, if you can be a little patient, you can save some $$$$. I believe I paid $360 for the ZKWs, including shipping and the PnP connectors. Maybe $375?? I do my best to forget spending as soon as possible. ;) I actually got mine from ECIS because I've always been so happy with Sean's customer service. These were ZKWs with the PnP connectors. They're listed on his site (ecisbmw.com), but with link (links are only made from the demon eye packages), but I'm sure it just requires an email or call to Sean. ECIS doesn't, or didn't when I purchased, sell the Stongard, so I bough that elsewhere. #8. Re: E30 M3 versus E36 - compare/contrast - from R. Kao

Date: Sat, 03 May 2003 11:33:37 -0400 From: "R. Kao" <bimmerphile@hotmail.com> Subject: Re: E30 M3 versus E36 - compare/contrast I'm not sure I'd agree with this budget scheme. Many members in our club have switched from an E36 M3 to an E30 M3 for track and DE duties precisely because of both cost and added fun factor. The E30 is lighter out of the box and is therefore easier (cheaper too!)on consumables like brake pads and tires. Unless one plans to get lots of increased horsepower out of the motor, as many members have done by going to a 2.5 litre conversion, the engine is pretty straight forward provided proper TLC is provided. I guess it all depends on how far you plan on taking this car. Again using our club as reference, we have E30 M3s that range from basically stock to full stripped out club racers with modified Sport Evo spec 2.5 litre motors and fuel cells. But if I had the choice, and I really wish I had, I would love to get my hands on an E30 M3 as the track toy and keep my E36 as my daily driver.
