A side note for anyone who currently owns or wishes to own the ZKW lights...PLEASE get protective film (Stonegard or equivalent) to protect the glass. Within 2 weeks of installing my ZKW's, a rock put a hole in one of the lenses and it took me 6 months (backordered from Germany) and $100 to replace it. Wes '95 M3 - ZKW's + HID's = an incredible improvement over stock lights

OE cats from BMW certainly fit the best but a decent aftermarket alternative is DEC (Steve at Ultimate Garage carries them). I put a DEC on my E30 and it fit pretty well and was nicely constructed. My cat will soon be coming off of my 1995 M3 (it has 39k miles on it) and it is in very good shape (no buzzing, no rattling, etc.) with no rust, etc. If anyone is interested in it, let me know. Later, Rich

I thought he once had something more and maybe he had taken it down. I even checked out Chuck's site to see if he had anything. Nope, but he does have a couple of other good tips :-) Later, Rich

A couple of weeks prior I had done a car control clinic (with a small amount of rain) on Front: 235/35/19 Rear: 245/35/19 Khumo MX's. Those seemed to be some pretty sticky tires but did lose traction (I feel) prematurely in the rain on the skid pad. This time My tire setup is as follows Front & Rear: 245/35/18 Yes, I went from a 19" wheel to an 18" wheel I got a little to much rubbing with the 19's. I felt the tires to have great traction even while bringing my car down from 100 MPH in to a 25 MPH turn. My "big reds" only made them screach with very abrupt application of the brakes. Over all I would say they are pretty good tire and communicate well to you when they need to, I felt safe and able to predict the limit. > > I hope not all of this information is irrelevant, and I'll be happy to > answer any questions I can. > > > As far as Tranny Fluid, is it possible to run a blend in the case? #10. Replaced windshield today... - from DocWyte

Date: Mon, 5 May 2003 14:10:47 -0700 (PDT) From: DocWyte <josh_wyte@yahoo.com> Subject: Replaced windshield today... I know a bunch of people in the New England area were interested in a good glass shop. I think I might have found one. I got a rock sometime last week and it developed into a good sized crack this morning. My dealer referred me to New England Mobile Auto Glass 781-340-6464. They took care of my car this afternoon. They were very good, extremely meticulous, didn't damage the windshield frame when removing the old glass. They installed the new glass (oem spec), no urethane goobers anywhere, they vacuumed the car, transferred the inspection sticker and made sure everything was clean. All in all a very good experience. It's nice looking out a completely clear windshield! -josh ===== __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo! Search - Faster. Easier. Bingo. http://search.yahoo.com
