Yes, we like Neil too, that is why we keep him around. He thinks things through and provides the rest of us with much good information and helps us avoid some of the same pitfalls... > <a lot of other good stuff that Nancy....err....Bob said about his suspension overhaul including Koni Cut-n-Gut, E46 M3 RSM and Z3 plates, strut reinforcements, etc.> You seem to be catching on quickly Bob....what, you have only been on this list a couple of months right?!? You are definitely a quick study. :-) Regards, Rich 95 M3 - need to get around to installing my TC Kline DA Koni Coilover set-up with GC Hybrid Camber/Caster plates soon....

I appreciate you sharing this information with us about RMS. I have yet to hear one forced induction set-up that has worked great...this only reinforces my goal to maximize my car normally aspirated. I went to a Dent-n-Dyno day in Columbus Ohio in April and I drove down with a guy in a newer M Roadster with an RMS system. It was supposed to have made 375+ hp at the crank according to RMS claims when he bought the kit. The owner of the car had even added water injection to reduce the heat soak IIRC. Anyway, I think the car made about 320hp at the crank on the first pull and it degraded from there IIRC. I was not impressed nor was the owner of the M Roadster. Regards, Rich 95 M3 - not a forced induction candidate as I can't afford to add forced induction nor can I replace the motor when it blows.

Please e-mail me if you are interested in it. I'm sure these are really expensive to buy new so this would be a great opportunity to get one cheap if anyone needs one. I also have the stock sway bars form that car as well. I'm located in the Los Angeles area. Thanks, Chad Armstrong 02 M3 911 Race Car #192

How did they manage to do that? If you overtighten the drain plugs, I would think you would strip out the holes but not crack the cover. I sure hope you don't have to pay for it. I would think a dealer (not the one who broke it) could get one overnight. I'm sure the dealership could contact all the other dealers in the country via some computer network to see who has one in stock and then FedEx it to you. Heck, it could even come for Europe overnight. Good luck! #9. 17 x 9 SSR Integrals w/Kumho 712s for Sale! - from KLchmn@aol.com

Date: Wed, 4 Jun 2003 15:58:38 EDT From: KLchmn@aol.com Subject: 17 x 9 SSR Integrals w/Kumho 712s for Sale! Gruppe, I am selling my SSR Integrals, 17 x 9 ET45 with Kumho 712s (6/32nds of tread left). These wheels don't come with the center caps, but I can possibly get some for extra $ (probably cheaper if you do it). They would make excellent track wheels (very easy to clean off the brake dust!). These wheels require a 5mm spacer on the front to work with stock shocks/springs. Should be fine with coilovers. I use them on my club race car do drive around town, etc., since the 17 x 9 size isn't legal up front for stock class. These wheels are nicked up a bit on the finish, but are straight and true. Definitely not concours wheels, but with some touch up to the painted finish would look great from 10 feet. They look fine at 100 ft. and 100 mph now! <g> I'm going to the Willow Springs school this weekend so I can deliver to beautiful Lancaster, CA. Please reply directly to me at klchmn@aol.com. I can try to get some digi pics taken, but I don't have a digital camera myself. I'm open to offers on the price. Cheers, Kirk Lachman Sin City Chapter '95 M3 #21 I-stock

Date: Wed, 04 Jun 2003 13:29:32 -0700 From: Reid Conti <reid@conti.net> Subject: Re: [E36M3]Race Mark System I've also heard some really bad things about RMS but would be interested in knowing if Leif works for a shop, or what. I've never been able to figure out whether it was just BS or true, but there are so many complaints I have to imagine it's true. I saw Osh himself tuning an M roadster in Seattle, they were shooting for 400+whp.. this car had everything on it, 3.2, rms charger, aftercooler, euro 6 speed, mods out the yazoo.. of course they ended up blowing the head gasket eventually, but this was apparently "expected." What worried me was watching Osh do repeated dyno runs where you can HEAR that the car is leaning out. I guess this is part of tuning, but lots of full-throttle runs in a less-than-perfect state of tune is scary. - reid On Wednesday, Jun 4, 2003, at 07:42 US/Pacific, Dorffer, Rich wrote: > Date: Wed, 4 Jun 2003 10:37:39 -0400 > From: "Dorffer, Rich" <RDORFFER@CleIndians.com> > Subject: [E36M3]Race Mark System > > Leif, > > Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I was curious as to your > qualifications (I am not questioning whether you are qualified, I just > wanted to know what your qualifications were).
