I have also heard this from other racers. I tend to notice it more when the rear ABS is engaging and thought it was a line pressure issue. It seems to happen regardless of engine RPM or so I thought. But since I havent raced in several months and recently sold my LTW, cant double check that. Anybody else notice that?

That 530i wheel looked a whole lot like the e46 M3 3 spoke wheel, which I loved in the last Drive for the Cure. Maybe 14 or 13 inch diameter. Nice suede and great feel. Of course half of the gauges were cut off in my driving position, but no matter. Has ANYONE figured out how to put the new M steering wheel on e36's and keep airbag functionality??? PLEASE!! I'd hate to lose that $3 insurance savings I get every year for my airbag by installing a Momo. :) -Jonathan 95 M

I would wager money that every aftermarket software/chip removes the speed limiter. I know Conforti and Dinan both raise the rev limit too. Conforti bumps it up a little more than Dinan. However, I would not buy a software/chip based on whether it removes the speed limiter or not. IMHO, Conforti's software is far superior to everything else. It has a much broader, more useful mid range power and it is much smoother with the gas cut off when you coast in gear. PLEASE!! I believe you can install an M Coupe/Roadster steering wheel with minimal trouble. It's a sightly smaller diameter than the stock M3 wheel, I believe. This is something I plan on doing, once I have a job and can afford the parts :-) Jim Bassett 1998 M3/4 - BIG steering wheel compared to.... 1993 325is #44 JP/A5 - ...Sparco racing wheel :-)

So if that is a standard number, who's making Turner's pads? Jeremy Lucas 95 M3

Date: Mon, 9 Jun 2003 01:12:50 EDT From: LoweSeaton@aol.com Subject: Re: [E36M3] Is it ok to use Mobil 0 W 40? Ajay, I assume you are asking about Mobil 1 0W-40 synthetic oil. Yes, it would be an excellent choice - highly appropriate. Synthetic based oils are superior to natural petroleum based oils. Synthetic oils have a higher viscosity range. That means a 40W synthetic oil is thicker, more viscous than a 50W petroleum oil. This means you can use a lighter weight synthetic oil and get the same or better protection. The 0W part means that it will pump very easily when you first start the engine or in very cold temperature. That is good too. A 0W-40 synthetic oil may be the perfect oil for street usage. According to Mobil 1's web site, 0W-40 is used in all Porsche and Mercedes AMG new cars. Lowell Seaton '95 M3/2 BMW CCA #131505
