Perhaps they (IT community) would give a rats ass if he wasn't trying to be competitive in WC, where it is not only legal, but essentially required, to run cams. Right now the IT list has its panties in a bunch over the legality of removing your glovebox cover, and whether this is defined as a "removable cover." ...typical. Dan

#5. Finally Sharked - from Scott M

Date: Fri, 20 Jun 2003 23:35:36 -0700 From: Scott M <smlists@pacbell.net> Subject: Finally Sharked I finally got around to installing my Conforti SW tune into the M3 today. Didn't kill the ECU, used the batt charger like recommended and took maybe 15 minutes. Car is completely stock. Damn - car runs even better now. Noticeably smoother, which is surprising. Seems even more silky smooth and makes it easier to shift smoother somehow, it's weird. Much better throttle response and WOT seems like more linear power curve somehow and the speedo seems to be traveling up in speed faster than ever - though it's hard to tell because everything seems so much smoother for some reason. I didn't quite check out the new rev limit but I took it right up to 6500 a couple times. Pulls pretty hard up there. Anyway, now the car can break the law by leaps and bounds even that much more effortlessly. Just what I needed. :-/ Factory should have tuned it this way!! Wonder what the cold-air intake kit will add on top now? Can't wait to find out... I should do it soon too, the intake filter is way dirty, probably the original with 40K miles. A bit more responsive throttle, and from a track perspective, about 200-300 more RPMs out of a turn and down the straight. And a VERY nice sound at WOT :-) Cheers, Jim Bassett 1998 M3/4 - fully Sharked 1993 325is #44 - ditto

Uh...any of you think people out there having a problem with the lap belts? As it stands, on the 2 door, the seat belt receptacle is quite long so trying to crank down on the lap belts to secure myself leads to the center buckle not centered. Anyone else with this issue? What to do? Chester =====

I just folded up all the right hand slack and clipped in a bundle with a large binder clip, and i just use the left side to make my lap adjustments. The buckle isn't perfectly centered but it's close.
