I checked the radio manual back flap but I guess the previous owner removed the code cards. any place else I might check, and if they really are gone, what are my options? $60 at the dealer seems kinda dumb. would the dealer the car was purchased at be able to help? thanks folks Jason

To get the s/n, you can pull the radio out and get it from the top/bottom label (forgot which). Or you can turn off the radio, then turn it on while pressing and holding the <m> button until it turns on, you might have to scroll with the < and > buttons to get the s/n. Take the s/n to any BMW dealer and they should be able to look it up for you. Unless they're scumbags, they won't charge you for it. -Bobby ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jason Bishop" <jason@doomba.com> > > > changed out the battery and for the life of me I can't find the radio code > to punch back in. And use 225/45 all around since they will warm up faster than 245s (on a short course). In 1997 when I ran the SCCA nationals, all the fast guys were running these. Old school tires but it still rocks. On the other hand, try out Yoko 032R Soft and tell us what you think. They did a good job for me, installing a new radiator, water pump, ... just after I got my e36 m3. Although I've heard others complain, I think the consensus is generally positive. Of course, it's Palo Alto, so the hourly rate is beaucoup. These are D.O.T. R compound tires with a "20" treadwear rating. These are excellent track tires used by many of the fastest BMW Club Racers! 8 of the tires have a few sessions on them with lots of life remaining. Expect 3+ DE events or Solo 1s from them. 2 of the tires have a fair amount of track time and will only be good for another day. $70ea or $550 for all 10. Thanks

#10. UUC underdrive pullies - Dyno results - from Robert Liu
Top
Date: Wed, 16 Jul 2003 10:19:34 -0700 (PDT) From: Robert Liu <bob_a_liu@yahoo.com> Subject: UUC underdrive pullies - Dyno results For those that are interested, I have dyno results from UUC's underdrive pullies on my 95 M3. The pullies are $185 for the set, and include a replacement water pump, power steering, alternator pulley, and both belts. The alternator is not underdriven, so it will not effect those with power sapping stereos. The pullies come in black or blue anodized finish. UUC's underdrive pullies are the best bang for the buck power mod on the market today, in my opinion. +5 rwhp, +5.8 ft-lbs torque for $185! Here is a summary of the dyno results: Car details: 95 M3, 184k miles, JC intake, chip, euro HFM, Flowmaster exhaust, fan delete mod Dyno details: Mustang MD250, SAE corrections, before/after runs on same day, same setup, optical rpm pickup. Temps were ~97F on initial run, ~87F on after runs. Two runs were made before with hp/tq within 1 hp/1 ft-lb. Two runs were made after with hp/tq within 1 hp/1 ft-lb. Results summary: peak gains: +5 rwhp, +5.8 ft-lbs torque gain at peak: +4 whp, +4.1 ft-lbs torque Actual numbers 205.0 to 209.0 rwhp, 197.8 ft-lb to 201.9 ft-lb A stock low mileage 95 M3 on our dyno made 190 rwhp, for reference. Plot of hp/tq gain over rpm range: http://www.p1auto.com/bob/uuc_udp.jpg Installation is fairly simple. The most difficult part is removing the mechanical fan. I immediately noticed a difference in driveability. The car before chirped 2nd gear, now it BARKS 2nd gear.
