The back will recline, but not come back up. All other controls work. She hears a 'click' when pressing the seat back 'upright' button, but nothing happens. Any BTDTs? TIA, alex f

Benefits of the E46 chassis? I have driven several E46 cars, although not the PP. All have felt heavy and soft compared to my '95 M3, and the driver is far more insulated from everything the car is doing. But what troubles me the most about the PP is that it doesn't come with a limited slip dif. How do BMW engineers sleep at night with the guilt of trying to pass off that over-weight, one-wheel drive, sensory deprivation tank as a sports sedan? Thanks, I feel much better now... At the risk of going even further off-topic - Anyone drive a new RX-8 yet? Robert Puertas

Yep, here (for real suede): http://www.american-stitches.com/ I have pics of an Acura NSX wheel they did (they don't show it on their website IIRC). I plan to redo an E30 interior in Alcantara and Motorsport cloth (already have or will all the fabric/Alcantara) for my 1990 325is. Regards, Rich

Great shocks and can get a complete set for around $400. Koni does make an external adjustable rear shock now..which makes all soo easier when going from street to track and back to street. I've been using them for a few years now and swear there is little to no difference between the singles and double adj. I didnt care for bilsteins for the ride was a little rougher.. even at full soft Michael 95 M3 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Robert Manger" <Robert_Manger@Mastercard.com> To: "E36M3" <e36m3@bmw-m.net> Sent: Monday, July 21, 2003 12:47 PM Subject: [E36M3] New Bilstein Shocks > Date: Mon, 21 Jul 2003 14:44:22 -0400 > From: "Robert Manger" <Robert_Manger@Mastercard.com> > Subject: New Bilstein Shocks > > Tossing it out there to see if indeed there has been a change in parts for > our cars. Rich, Have you checked how much they want to do just one wheel? The last time I called a few years ago, it was in the $300-450 range. Way more than a brand new BMW steering wheel. Even if they employ Bavarian virgins instead of the usual illegal Mexican laborers, that still way too much in my book. alex f

I inquired about having my stock wheel re-covered in leather because of wear. The breakdown at the time (about 6 months ago) was: Base price: $210 Additional 1/8" padding (thicker wheel): $55 Some sort of upgrade charge: $35 Tri-color stitching: $65 Total: $375 (!) Plus, they need something like 6 working days to do the wheel. Date: Tue, 22 Jul 2003 08:47:32 -0400 From: "Ron Buchalski" <rbuchals@hotmail.com> Subject: Re: Cold start problem Allen, Sometimes this can be caused by a leaking fuel injector (or injectors), which fill the combustion chambers with fuel when the engine sits. When you start the engine, the excess fuel causes the engine to run rough until it's cleared out. This can be the result of failing injectors, or it could simply be due to deposit buildup on the injectors. The cheap fix is to try a can of good injector cleaner, like BG-44K or Techron.
