Anyone else in MN or ND? ok here is my deal, I am looking at this car, but it is a repairable it was a theft so doesnt really need anything except it has a broken windsheild and dirty interior but here is the catch it wont start, wont turn over or do anything when you try the key. they say at the dealer that it is the security system...um ok how do you fix that? What can I check to see how major this would be? I do not want to have to spend like 1200 bucks on a new computer or something trying to troubleshoot it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! I have been told it maybe the ZKE or EWS???? I need to know if I can fix this in house or....have to bring it to the dealer... Thanks for help-MAtt _________________________________________________________________ MSN 8 helps eliminate e-mail viruses. Get 2 months FREE*. http://join.msn.com/?page=features/virus

The tabs for oil cooler mounting are not there. The guys at the shop put my oil cooler back on fairly quickly though, so I assume that mounting isn't too difficult still. Given the severe Texas summers, I am considering the installation of the new Fluidyne radiator. My track car is a '95 M3 US 3.0 with a Euro oil cooler mounted to the bottom of the factory radiator. Is the Fluidyne radiator truly drop in? Can I still us the factory expansion tank and shroud? Can the euro oil cooler still be mounted in the two plastic tabs at the bottom of the radiator? Anyone installed one of these radiators yet in a Stock E36 car? Date: Thu, 31 Jul 2003 22:48:48 EDT From: KResener@aol.com Subject: Re: Tranny Leak Thanks to all that responded on my tranny oil leaking out of the top. Consensus seemed to be to replace the vent cap with the newer one. A quick stop to my dealer proved that there was indeed a newer design after December '94 (my car was built in July '94) so I've ordered -- all of four dollars! Does anyone know how to gain access to replace the vent cap? Surely I won't have to drop the transmission...? 'Cause then I may as well do the clutch, and I'd really like a lightweight flywheel, and I really ought to have an x-brace... My hope is that I can just remove the shift boot to gain access? I havent really heard of anyone discussing spark plugs. I know mine are way overdue for changing. What is recommended or preferred by most? I've seen Bosch Plat+ 4 but are they worth the cost? What am I expecting? just to put a better than OEM fluids and replacement equipment in the car (ie redline fluids, superblue brake fluids, brembo brake rotors, ss brake line, etc). I'm doing the standard Inspection II with trans, diff, oil, brake, coolant, all filters and washerfluid change **Note I didnt say the BEST, my budget IS somewhat limited. Any other suggestions or "while you're at it" advice would be greatly appreciated. Robert 99-E36M3 Windy City CCA

I've always heard, including from some local independent shops that did tech sessions for us, that BMW engines don't particularly like platinum spark plugs. I've always stuck with the stock plug, the Bosch FGR8KQC. Andrej '97 M3
