I have 4 hours of dyno time (worth $120/hr), with air/fuel, credit that I am willing to trade for the following: - 5 hours BMW shop labor (I need some work done) - 4 18" tires 245mm or wider (must be in good shape) - 96+ M3 head (complete w/o cams, or 95 head w/new retainers) The dyno shop is in the Bay Area and it a first class facility. So if you have been wanting to get your car dyno'd with the latest mods or want some good before/after data? Here is your chance! I didn't think there were any plans to release a separate kit. I've heard certain retailers advocate using the E46 kit with spacers (sounds like a bad idea to me...). - John

There's nothing been done with the seats where they might have been disconnected, so I'm assuming the sensor is bad. Does anyone have any DIY experience fixing this they could share? Part numbers? Is there just one sensor for each seat - I've heard the seat belt sensor mentioned, but I'm not sure that's the only sensor. Thanks, Barrett

Sounds like you've got it all covered. I would only suggest having a competent mechanic look over the car - check suspension bits, look for any leaks, etc. Being able to inspect the car on a lift is helpful. This is essentially what I do; change all the fluids, etc. myself and have my mechanic do a thorough inspection. The aftermarket warranty co that had the policy on my car has gone belly up. Had about 13k miles left on the warranty too. Only good thing was that the previous owner of the car had bought it and it transferred over to me. Hmm, MTL is too thin? Well, D4ATF must be wayyyy too thin since it is thinner than MTL (75W80) and MT90 (75W90). Seems to me a lot of people here use D4ATF right? Anyone else feel it is simply too thin for track use? Regards, Rich

I'm also not sure, but doesn't a thinner oil transfer heat better? Or does viscosity have nothing to do with it? At any rate, I've never had a problem with Mobil 1 D4ATF and I usd 10W30 at all the track events this year ;) Oil temps stayed around 220...though at VIR where it was real hot, it did get to 240 when I was pushing it.
