The E36 strut has welded brackets which bolt on to the kingpin. The E46 strut has a cylindrical lower end which fits into a pinch bolt receptacle in the kingpin. They could scarcely be more different, or less compatible. Neil 96 M3

Namely, we changed the extended length of the rear shocks to allow more droop compared to the German application, therefore maintain better contact at the drive wheels under cornering. These have been run on an E36 M3 in Street Mod locally over the past year good results. The build date is scheduled for November. So, looks like this winter we may have inventory on the new kits." Hope that helps, Robert

Or a source of something very similar? I'm interested in purchasing a set to help protect my leather, but like the 'insert' design these offer. But usually people only installs coupe seats on the sedan and not the other way around because you won't be able to use your back seats on your coupe after the swap. No fold down back rest on the sedan's seats. Joe. --------------------- I have 2 E36 M3's and want to swap the front seats. 1. 97 M3 Sedan, luxury, power, & heated seats. 2. 97 M3 Coupe, luxury, power seats. Are the coupe and sedan seats identical? Should I anticipate any problems moving the heated seat switches & wires? Thanks, Hunt __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Ben, I would not recommend used stock OE struts. The OE M3 struts are VERY short lived. 20,000 miles (well maybe 30,000 miles) is the extent of their useful live. If they have been removed from an M3, they are worthless junk IMHO unless you intend to gut them and use Koni inserts. Besides, you are going to be very disappointed going from a GC suspension to used OE struts. I'd recommend buying the used struts and then gutting them to insert Koni struts. Or if you promise not to get mad later, Bilsteins are another choice. But I warn you the Bilsteins are very harsh riding. Lowell Seaton '95 M3 BMW CCA #131505

Wow, two of the three headlines on the City of Santa Clara website are about crime: http://www.ci.santa-clara.ca.us/ I would get a cheap camera that you can hook up to your computer and put it on a motion sensor. Here's one for $120: http://www.starkelectronic.com/core.htm I'd imagine you could rig one up for less, and I'm sure a more thorough web search than my 15 second one would yield some inexpensive DIY solutions. I don't think it matters which way you were parked, sounds like you would have lost a bumper anyhow.
