Of course the shipping and handling might multiply that just a tad... Neil 96 M3

The carrier is in bankruptcy. All of us who currently have contracts with Warranty Gold may have some effect. If I were to place a claim today, I would call the number, get the bankruptcy message, get through to get a claims adjuster who would do the normal stuff, except that I would have to pay for the work and submit a claim for reimbursement. I don't know what would happen after that. It may take a considerable amount of time for that to settle out. Warranty Gold is attempting to find a company to pick up all the policies currently in effect as well as looking for a company with whom to issue new policies. -- =========================== georgercarrjr@earthlink.net

#5. Coolant and Oil Radiators confirmation - from David Holeman
Top
Date: Wed, 6 Aug 2003 15:56:43 -0400 From: "David Holeman" <dHoleman@racepad.com> Subject: Coolant and Oil Radiators confirmation Hi, I can confirm this as this is exactly what I have setup on my car. There is a little L shapped bracket 17-51-2-243-659 you will need to hold the oil cooler in place under this radiator. The oil cooler has a tab built in on one side and this bolts on the other side and fits through a slot on the bottom edge of the radiator. David Holeman www.racepad.com Neil wrote... I've recently read in two other places that someone has figured out that the coolant radiator from the S54 engine (dual VANOS) version of the M-Coupe is a 3-row, vs. the stock E36 2-row, and is a drop-in replacement. This offers a stock-based higher capacity main cooling solution for people who don't want to pay the freight for an all aluminum radiator. (Note that the M Coupe radiator still has the mixed plastic/metal construction.) The part number is 17-11-2-227-281, and I see that it's the same radiator used in the Euro E36 M3.

Come on Neil, geez, I am disappointed in your lack of thoroughness. Why didn't you mention that they one would have to reenter the "CODE" on the radio after reconnecting the battery??? Or, how about that they will have to replace the battery cover snapping it back into place after reconnection??? These are important items, come on now. ;-) Regards, Rich - Felt Josh's write-up was already extensive enough.

#9. Oil Cooler Options - from shane.a.kleinpeter@accenture.com

Date: Wed, 6 Aug 2003 16:18:53 -0400 From: shane.a.kleinpeter@accenture.com Subject: Oil Cooler Options <P>I don't have an oil cooler on my car, and don't really plan on installing one. But I noticed that a lot of you either want one or are trying to install one. At the Club Race at Barber Motorsports Park a couple weeks back, there was a guy from Victory Product Design showing off a new oil cap that allows for easy install of an oil cooler on an E36. I have no affiliation with them whatsoever, but figured if this saved somebody some grief then it was worth a post.</P><P>Looking at their web site, they have both a full kit and just the oil cap. The guy told me that in all honesty it was a PITA for them to pull all the parts together for the kit, but that it saved the customers a lot of time. He commented that he really would prefer to just sell caps, but that since it was so hard to find the other parts that they put the kit together. Information for those interested is here:</P><P>http://www.victoryproductdesign.com/engine_main.htm</P><P>Again, I have no affiliation, and don't own one of these, but I figured I would pass on the information.</P><P>Shane K.</P>.
