Pads have at least 50% life on them (each set). Plus I will throw in an extra set which should be good for backup on the above mentioned 2 sets (these have 10-25% life on them). In a nut shell: 1 front set Hawk Blues with 50% life 1 front set Hawk Blues with 50% life 1 front set Hawk Blues with 10-25% life First $65 takes all three sets (I will pay for shipping). Ahmad

#5. Cluncking Noise Upon Steering Turn - from Ahmad Lutfeali

Date: Fri, 8 Aug 2003 14:28:20 -0400 From: "Ahmad Lutfeali" <m3_racer99@hotmail.com> Subject: Cluncking Noise Upon Steering Turn Hello everyone, I have this strange symptom develop over the last 2 weeks. I had replaced the front tie rods and after 3 weeks, I hear these clunks (they are loud) when I turn the steering. Even when it is still, I would turn the steering left to right and vice versa and the clunking noise is there. I went under the car and checked the control arms, tie rods and sway bar links. They all seem to be in place. Prior to the tie rods, I have new control arms with bushings, shocks and springs. Any suggestions/input? Thanks in advance. Ahmad PS: yeah and on top of that, my new rotors with 6 days have spider cracks already :(

I have an extended warranty written by National Warranty Co themselves. I geuss they provided coverage for Warranty Gold amongst many others. I got hosed out of 14k miles and 1 year of coverage. Oh well. This is what happens when you buy an aftermarket warranty. The previous owner of the car bought it and it transferred to me with the car. I certainly got my use out of it while I had it. It's a bummer I won't be able to use its full term, but whatever. Anytime I've bought an extended warranty on a car its always been through the car manufacterer for this express reason. -josh --- Brant Herbert <brant.herbert@att.net> wrote: > Date: Fri, 08 Aug 2003 11:42:54 -0700 > From: Brant Herbert <brant.herbert@att.net> > Subject: Warranty Gold problems -- another thread > > Hi, > > Haven't been reading here in a while so I missed the > heads-up on > Warranty Gold's problems, but I posted my woes re: > Warranty Gold on > another (beemer) board. > > http://bmwsporttouring.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB11&Number=224866 > > Brant Herbert > '99 coupe > > > > ************************************************* > Please help support the E36M3 list by visiting our > sponsors: > Taylor Autosport http://www.taylorautosport.com > Rogue Engineering http://www.rogueengineering.com > BMW M3 Specialties http://www.jt-designs.com > Bimmerworld http://www.bimmerworld.com > Turner Motorsport http://www.turnermotorsport.com > > DIGEST INFORMATION: > http://www.bmw-m.net/resources/digest_info.htm > ************************************************* > > > > This e-mail and any attachments may contain > confidential and > privileged information. I think Josh was referring to the manufacturer extended warranties instead of the third party warranties that dealers also sell. I have a friend with a Ford factory extended warranty that was complete no hassle, which has not been my experience with dealer sold third party warranties. -- Rex Tener rex_tener@yahoo.com

That's exactly what I meant. I once had an extended warranty through Toyota, it was written and covered by them, not a third party company. I pulled up, they fixed it, period. I didn't have to worry about Toyota going out of business, like most of these third party warranty companies seem to do... -josh --- Rex Tener <rex_tener@yahoo.com> wrote: > Date: Fri, 08 Aug 2003 12:33:53 -0700 > From: Rex Tener <rex_tener@yahoo.com> > Subject: Re: [E36M3] Warranty Gold problems -- > another thread > > At 02:27 PM 8/8/2003 -0500, George R Carr Jr wrote: > >Date: Fri, 8 Aug 2003 13:27:23 -0600 > >>Anytime I've bought an extended warranty on a car > its > >>always been through the car manufacterer for this > >>express reason. > >> > >>-josh > > > >I'm not convinced that going with a dealer makes a > difference as they > >also have an underwriter that is really carrying > the policy. > > I think Josh was referring to the manufacturer > extended warranties instead > of the third party warranties that dealers also > sell. > > I have a friend with a Ford factory extended > warranty that was complete no > hassle, which has not been my experience with dealer > sold third party > warranties. > > -- > Rex Tener > rex_tener@yahoo.com > > > > > ************************************************* > Please help support the E36M3 list by visiting our > sponsors: > Taylor Autosport http://www.taylorautosport.com > Rogue Engineering http://www.rogueengineering.com > BMW M3 Specialties http://www.jt-designs.com > Bimmerworld http://www.bimmerworld.com > Turner Motorsport http://www.turnermotorsport.com > > DIGEST INFORMATION: > http://www.bmw-m.net/resources/digest_info.htm > ************************************************* > > > > This e-mail and any attachments may contain > confidential and > privileged information.
