After hooking everything up the unit powers up and tunes to a station, but I get no sound out of the speakers. I checked the wiring individually and think everything is hooked up properly. Thanks in advance. Don

Thirded! ;) The way these things get pitted up from track events, I'm starting to consider windshields to be another wear 'n tear item that will need to be replaced every couple/few years, depending on cracks, etc. Less often, I'm sure, for untracked cars... especially those that don't see any time at WSIR in SoCal. ;) Jonathan L. >From: Jim Bassett <jim@jimbassett.com> > >Seconded. A friend and I are interested in checking out the internal construction. (He's rebuilt many a shock in his time so chances are it'll come back to you in as good a condition or better if loaned). If anyone has done procedure and has pics or knows where I might find them I'd appreciate that as well. We're in the Boston area... Thanks, DaaneshGet more from the Web. Date: Sat, 09 Aug 2003 14:10:02 -0400 From: eevans@planetc.com Subject: M3 stumble on cold start up Jay, Can you check your receipt and identify which version they used? Is this a BMW free fix or does the dealer charge for the upgrade? TIA Evan Date: Sat, 09 Aug 2003 06:05:24 -0700 From: "Jay W. Hudson" <jwhud@cdsnet.net> Subject: Re: [E36M3] RE: M3 stumbling on start up I had the same problem on my '97 when I first bought it (used). I read somewhere about a more current version of the DME (?) software. I believe there's a TSB on it. Next time I had it in for a service, I had the dealer upgrade it. I think they said ver. 24 but not sure. That solved the problem for me. I've since sharked it and still have no problems. I can start and go. Jay

Just wanted to let y'all know in case it takes a little longer or you experience some problems posting. Suzy

Hey guys, I have a clifford alarm that does the auto lock/unlock deal and I was wondering if anyone knew how to wire it so it would also close the windows and sunroof when I arm it? It's a Clifford SuperNova II alarm. It should support the feature and just tie into the factory controls for it, but a little direction would be appreciated! -josh ===== __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! After some internet hunting, I contacted BMW North America (Leonora.Vlaovich@bmwna.com, the coordinator of National Customer Relations) who processed my complaint. She was able to arrange a replacement at my local dealer. BMW NA covered the cost of the parts (~$280) and arranged for a special labor rate. Bottom line, I just had the display replaced for ~$40. Without any help from BMW NA, I think the total would have come to $380. Date: Sun, 10 Aug 2003 03:30:55 +0000 From: kim.burgess@att.net Subject: RE: M3 stumbling on start up I had a 98M3 that on one service ocasion, the DME software was upgraded by the dealer due to a emissions TSB. Car ran fine before and after. My 99M3 however, parked in the same simi-heated garage over nite could not get out of it's own way until completely warm. Took three trips to the dealer and an over nite stay for them to do something about it. It still will stumble on some modestly cold mornings (now parked outside). 'Frost on the ground' mornings are not a problem however. Kim Burgess 99M3/2
