I haven't used it since and have been using clay, P21S paint cleanse, and Blitz wax. Seeing how my repainted car is blotchy, I guess I can use the Zainos stuff again. Which reminds me....I think I'm running low on Blitz. I might go with the P21S carnuba wax as it got pretty high ratings... It goes on very easy and comes off much easier than most waxes. I got if for durability. I hear that it lasts about 6 months. The only draw back is that you have to let it cure after you put it on. I let it sit for about 30 min. between coats. (I did two). So far its great. car does not even seem to get as dirty. #6. Tire choices? - from K.C. Boyce

Date: Mon, 18 Aug 2003 17:41:21 -0400 From: "K.C. Boyce" <kcb@abcgroup-inc.com> Subject: Tire choices? Hello all! I sent this in to the UUC Digest a few days ago and didn't get any bites (except someone saying "you need to change the shocks"; I'm asking about tires here!) I'd appreciate any wisdom that the group has. TIA, KC Boyce '97 M3/4 -----Original Message----- From: K.C. Boyce [mailto:kcb@abcgroup-inc.com] Sent: Friday, August 15, 2003 10:27 AM To: 'bmwuucdigest@uucdigest.com' Subject: <E36M3> Tire choices? Well, it's been about a week and a half since our last tire thread, so I thought I'd start another one. I'm getting to the point where I'm having to think about buying new shoes for my M3 within the next few months. Here's my question: Of all the tires out there, which one will give me the *closest* feel to the OE Michelin MXX3s? I'm looking at the Pilot Sports and the Yoko AVS Sport. I've got Sumitomos on it right now, and other than some loss of traction under acceleration (heh heh), I'm pretty satisfied with them. So I'll happily consider Sumis or Kumhos or anything else reputable. But I want to experience this car as close to "fresh-from-the-factory-floor" as possible! Any advice? I saw a Viper RT/10 that had been regularly Zaino-ized and it looked real good, very deep shine. But, is it good enuf for our German cars? Steve Stoner

Only had them in the wet with low tread and the were no S03 or S02. ;) Very grippy tire with a similar feel to the old MXX3s (maybe slightly more lateral grip). The main difference is that they don't make as much noise as the MXX3s. I found those to scream much more than most tires I've used. Of course, with the price drops on S03s, Pilot Sports and others, the g-Force now seem to take the cake as the most expensive tires available for our cars... that I know of. I think the 245/40-17 run about $235 each. I won't be paying that much for a street tire. P21s is usually $20-$25 per can online, but the *exact same product* is sold at lots of Harley Davidson stores as "S100" for about $15/can. it's good stuff. zs --- Chester Wong <chester_p_wong@yahoo.com> wrote: > Date: Mon, 18 Aug 2003 14:24:57 -0700 (PDT) > From: Chester Wong <chester_p_wong@yahoo.com> > Subject: Re: [E36M3] Zaino products > > I tried their products and for me, it seemed to have > a cloudy appearance to it > on my silver car. I used the Z-3 show car polish for regular paint followed by the Z-6 gloss enhancer. Hands down better than P21S, which I've been using for probably the last 5 years. The picture really doesn't do the car justice, but will give you some idea. And this was with only one coat of Zaino. I'm definitely sold on this stuff. http://bimmerbabe.com/images/zaino.jpg Suzy Robert Manger wrote: >Does anyone have any experience with this product, in the pursuit of >keeping all things shiny I was lurking around and saw the site.
