Try calling him. I have done business with him several times and have found his service, communication and products to be beyond reproach. I have had no trouble speaking with Rob directly just by calling the number on his website. You'll certainly have better luck talking to him than talking to us ;-) Regards Jamie Howton 2002 330i 1995 M3

Unquestionably something is amiss. He wouldnt not respond to a customers question or wish. I agree with the rest, give him a direct call. I've had various bad results when using race parts for a street motor. A friend bought a race built 3.2l M motor for his car which supposedly was in great shape and it locked up on him a few months after install. I'm very leery of any motor that's had machine work. I'm sure there are those motors out there that've been machined to perfection, but I trust the factory over all. -josh --- Juan Bruce <jbrucebmw@hotmail.com> wrote: > Date: Wed, 01 Oct 2003 11:47:53 -0700 > From: "Juan Bruce" <jbrucebmw@hotmail.com> > Subject: Built 3.2L S50 > > So in my search for an S52 to drop in my '95 I came > across this motor. In any event, yes, I have heard NOTHING but excellent and glowing reports about him and his company, which is why I am baffled... In the package I sent him, which included the old shifter, was the invoice and the NOTE stating the credit to be applied.. Oh well..ill try calling him -----Original Message----- From: Chris Papademetrious [mailto:chrispy@ieee.org] Sent: Wednesday, October 01, 2003 1:14 PM To: E36M3 Subject: Re: [E36M3] UUC information problem/Rob Levinson problem Date: Wed, 01 Oct 2003 16:06:44 -0400 From: Chris Papademetrious <chrispy@ieee.org> Subject: Re: [E36M3] UUC information problem/Rob Levinson problem At 03:03 PM 10/1/2003 -0500, Go, Jeffrey wrote: >Well, it had been close to 2 weeks now since he had my shifter, and he >still has not given me my credit. > >I tried sending him email several times, and no reply... > >Any thoughts?? I know I'm probably stating the obvious, but have you tried calling him? Sometimes that's the easiest way to send a gentle reminder. :) Sometimes it's not even what you think. I remember being annoyed at a customer once because he wasn't responding to my emails. I called him and he was surprised, because he never got any of them. We eventually tracked it down to something in my company's email headers which confused their server. When I had a problem with my UUC clutch stop, they upgraded me to the new version at no cost. I've had good experiences with them, and plan to get their underdrive pulley kit soon based on my past positive experiences. Good luck. - Chris ************************************************* Please help support the E36M3 list by visiting our sponsors: Taylor Autosport http://www.taylorautosport.com Rogue Engineering http://www.rogueengineering.com BMW M3 Specialties http://www.jt-designs.com Bimmerworld http://www.bimmerworld.com Turner Motorsport http://www.turnermotorsport.com DIGEST INFORMATION: http://www.bmw-m.net/resources/digest_info.htm *************************************************

#7. suspension help, please - from Shelhart2@aol.com
Top
Date: Wed, 1 Oct 2003 20:44:48 EDT From: Shelhart2@aol.com Subject: suspension help, please OK, I'm ready to take everything apart and start over again... What was the lister quote, "if you work on cars long enough you'll make all the mistakes". I installed new Koni Sa's, springs and controls arms. It was a bit$! to get the insert out and back in but I prevailed in the end. I put it back together and hand torqued the top nut. Needless to say, I had some subsequent front end metal on metal sound. OK, so I bought an electric impact and hit the top nuts. Like magic the noise went away. Now when I turn the car in either direction and take the wheel all the way until it stops and bring it back to center the car pulls to that direction fairly hard. The car pulls to the left after a full tight radius turn left and likewise in the other direction. I also hear a little "sqeaking" when I turn the wheel (almost like I might have tightened the top nut a bit too much and the spring is making noise??). Just when I thought I've made all the mistakes on the front end... This is supposed to be a stress relieving hobby. I need a little spiritual guidance here ..... What am I doing wrong and why is the Koni Sa top nut tightening such a PITA for someone who hasn't done this before??? Shel Hart 1998 M3

#8. aftermarket exhaust question - from Hunt Hodgetts

Date: Wed, 1 Oct 2003 18:59:21 -0700 (PDT) From: Hunt Hodgetts <hhodgetts@yahoo.com> Subject: aftermarket exhaust question I have a stock 97 M3 that I'll be supercharging sometime next year (either AA or Dinan). I'm looking for an aftermarket exhaust that is suitable for a supercharged M3, is no (or no much) louder than stock, and is lighter. I've seen a new one listed on ebay: E36 M3 DUAL REMUS EXHAUST Item number: 2435219334 Does anyone know if it is any good? __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo! The supersprint isn't all that much lighter than stock, but it does make a bit more power and is one of the most quiet aftermarket exhausts out there. Sounds like you might be better off with the stock exhaust tho... -josh --- Hunt Hodgetts <hhodgetts@yahoo.com> wrote: > Date: Wed, 1 Oct 2003 18:59:21 -0700 (PDT) > From: Hunt Hodgetts <hhodgetts@yahoo.com> > Subject: aftermarket exhaust question > > I have a stock 97 M3 that I'll be supercharging > sometime next year (either AA or Dinan). > > I'm looking for an aftermarket exhaust that is > suitable for a supercharged M3, is no (or no much) > louder than stock, and is lighter. > > I've seen a new one listed on ebay: > E36 M3 DUAL REMUS EXHAUST Item number: 2435219334 > Does anyone know if it is any good? > > > > __________________________________ > Do you Yahoo!? > The New Yahoo! As the web page states: Kits that qualify for the $50.00 rebate include AC Schnitzer, Metric Mechanic (Autosolutions), AutoThority, APE, Bavarian Auto, Blonde, BMP, and Korman. I've dealt with Rob and UUC for some time now. Rob's a great guy. I'm sure that there is just some oversight. Give him a call. Dave
