Your rear tires are changing toe (and direction) on you. The esses at Summit Point in WV can be downright annoying with bad RTABs. Also did the car get new shocks with the springs? Stock M3 shocks are notorious for failing at about 40k mi (though my wife's car is reasonably planted at 46k). Stock wheels and tires? Wheels should be fine. Stock tires will vary, though I doubt anything too bad was ever mounted on M3s. My bet is bushings depending on car age. Marc Plante E36 325i, 216k Vienna, VA

It does have awesome sounds and look (I got DTM version). However I kinda disagree on the quietness on idle. I think comparing it with stock, it is definitely louder at idle. I have had the exhaust for several hundred miles including DE, the sound somewhat has mellowed out a bit. Jay __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The Duralast battery (through Autozone) is new and carries a 7 year prorated warranty with a 24 month free replacement which is the similar to all the other johnson control batteries (as posted here yesterday). I have a warranty receipt that states exactly that. The only difference in any of the batteries I've noted is the free replacement period. The more expensive versions (Interstate and Diehard) have 18 month free replacement warranty. The Energizer and Duralast have a 24 month free replacement period. Go figure. They are all prorated through 7 years. As always, YMMV. -Justin

I put one on my race car because I couldn't hear the friggin' motor with my helmet on. Works great. That said, I still pass 90db at Laguna Seca. And it's a very mellow sound. This is a great exhaust. I would not hesitate to put one on my street car. Except Rob doesn't have a model to fit my diesel pickup yet. Slacker. - Mark '94 325is JP/A5 #117 ----- mark@pdc-racing.net

#6. Rear Shocks: Lower mount washer? - from Dorffer, Rich

I have seen a number of them this way, particular Bilstein equipped cars. I was a "dyno day" recently and they counted four BMWs that were missing them and made them get some washers before dynoing them. Yes, you should have them installed. Regards, Rich

From all the Bilsteins I've seen, they only have the washer on one side and some people put it against the mount, making it useless. I did it when I first got mine but caught the mistake before it fell off. Check the other side of the shock mounting point to see if the washer is on that side before you go out to buy washers. -Bobby > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Dorffer, Rich" <RDORFFER@CleIndians.com> > > This is common to forget or omit the washers on the lower shock mount. There is a slight drone around 1800-2000 when just cruising but above or below that, it's fine. I think it just needs to be broken in some more. It does sound louder when coasting to a stop (no gas) than if I just give it just a bit of gas while slowing down. I can tell that it's already starting to mellow out a bit at WOT. It's still louder than the SS which I was expecting and wanted. At idle, it's really quiet. At least mine is now. I've driven about 250miles so far. I have a few guys that have inquired about the old SS exhaust. I'll reply individually in order they were received. -Bobby > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Junaidi Irwan" <cuwei@yahoo.com> > > > > I second Robert on UUC TSE. Date: Mon, 03 Nov 2003 17:32:16 -0500 From: "Dave Kelley" <d.kelley@usa.net> Subject: Foglights and/or Brackets Does anyone have a couple of Foglight brackets laying around. I need both sides. But if I have to buy a complete foglight and bracket assembly, then I will have two foglights that I do not need. So I may have 2 new or used foglights for sale. So.... if you have brackets, please let me know. If I don't find and brackets and you want some foglights, make me an offer for my used ones or new ones. I'm in South Carolina.
