#3. FS: Custom Race Exhaust - from Riley, Scott
Top
Date: Mon, 3 Nov 2003 22:01:55 -0600 From: "Riley, Scott" <sriley@cardinalcapital.com> Subject: FS: Custom Race Exhaust Due to a change in Stock class rules, my custom exhaust is no longer legal. Rather than wait another 1-2 years until I move to Prepared class where it would be legal, I am offering it for sale. The exhaust system was created by BimmerHaus Performance (Bob Tunnell and Jim Leithauser, www.bimmerhaus.com <http://www.bimmerhaus.com> ). It is "header-back" system consisting of a single 3" pipe aft of the headers, single Magnaflow high-flow cat and a single Flowmaster muffler. You can check out http://www.bimmerhaus.com/raceprep/M3toBSP.html <http://www.bimmerhaus.com/raceprep/M3toBSP.html> for more details. All it needs is a single bracket for installation. Any muffler shop can perform the installation for a nominal charge. Extremely lightweight, passes emissions and provides hp/torque increase. Best of all, it sounds absolutely great..very impressive especially for track events. I received numerous compliments from people in the paddock. If you compete in Stock class Solo II, this is the exhaust to have as evidenced by numerous years of being used by Bob Tunnell. Please email me with any questions. sriley@cardinalcapital.com <mailto:sriley@cardinalcapital.com> Will provide photos upon request. Asking $300 + shipping. Cost nearly $700 to build. Thanks, Scott

Since everyone is talking about the UUC TS Exhaust, I figured I would post mine for sale. I have an almost brand new UUC TS Exhaust that is for sale. I bought it this past July, and have only driven the car about 2000 miles with the exhaust on it. The exhaust is very nice, but a bit loud for my daily driver. Brand new I bought it for $590, and there is nothing wrong with it, absolutely perfect condition, so I'm asking about $500 for it, OBO. Thanks! Date: Tue, 04 Nov 2003 09:32:30 -0500 From: Lee Piccione <leepic@smart.net> Subject: FS: Wheels - SSR Competitions Gruppe, I'm selling a set of four SSR Competition 18x9 +45 5x120 wheels in the silver finish. They come with metal valve stems, new lug bolts, and BMW center caps. They were used only for autocross (no curb rash), bought new in April, and are in excellent condition. I even have the boxes they were shipped in. Retail price is $1836. I'll even throw in the 245/35-18 A3S03 Hoosiers that are mounted on them (but then they won't fit in the boxes). Please email me with any reasonable offers. Pictures are available (on my car). Thanks, Lee '95 ///M3 Violet

Date: Tue, 4 Nov 2003 10:30:19 -0500 From: "Chamberlain, Jesse" <jchamb06@harris.com> Subject: Few 95 M3 Items forsale.. As I just bought a new to me 1999 Imola Red M3 with 45K miles, I am turning my 325i into my daily driver, so I have a few items I would like to sell, and possibly get your old parts. I can provide pictures of all the parts listed. The parts are still installed on my car, so it will take a few days to take them off. Here is what I have for sale. These will all fit a 95 M3, as my 325i currently has a full M3 suspension setup. All prices are OBO. 1) 95 M3 Bilstein front struts and rear shocks. The fronts have less than 5000 miles on them, and the rears have about 8500 miles on them. New these are ~ $550, asking $350 + shipping + your old(er) struts/shocks (less than 75K miles is preferred) 2) 95 M3 H&R OE Sport springs. These have less than 5000 miles, installed at the same time as the front Bilsteins. $150 + your old(er) M3 springs. I would be willing to sell the bilsteins and springs as a set, so I wouldn't have to take the front struts apart. 3) UUC TS Exhaust. $500 OBO. I can provide pictures of this as well. I am located in Rochester, NY, but I would be willing to ship all of these parts. Please email me privately if your interested. Thanks! Jesse Chamberlain jchamb06@harris.com OR jechambe@lynx.neu.edu

#7. Sears 2-ton jack - from Pat Kelly

Date: Tue, 4 Nov 2003 11:16:43 -0500 From: "Pat Kelly" <pkelly@agincourtcapital.com> Subject: Sears 2-ton jack I thought I would step out of lurk mode for a moment to post some initial info on the Sears 2-ton aluminum jack. It took almost a week to arrive after I ordered it, but the wait was worth it. It is bigger and much more rugged than the Harbor Freight 1.5 ton model. In fact, my only initial criticism is that it may be *too* big to stuff in the trunk and take to the autox, track, etc. BTW, the jacking plate is welded aluminum plate, not a casting as some have questioned. More to come... Pat Kelly Richmond Va. 95 M3 w/ stuff

#8. PF97 vs PF01 - from twisty M3
Top
Date: Tue, 04 Nov 2003 09:31:35 -0800 From: "twisty M3" <twistym3@hotmail.com> Subject: PF97 vs PF01 Good day to all, Has anyone here tried the Performance Friction PF01 compound pads yet? It sounds like they only make fronts for our cars, which should work fine with the 97s in the rear. According to their rep, "01 compound will last longer than the 97 compound will. Either one is a good choice it really comes down the drivers preference. The 97 is easy to modulate than the 01 but the 01 has more friction. So the choice would need to be made based on your driving style." I like the fact that they'll last even longer than the 97s, because I can't believe the longevity I've gotten from those. Any experience with the 01s compared to 97s will be greatly appreciated as I need to order pads this week. Thanks! #10. Clutch Pedal Tension? - from arionatof@comcast.net
Top
Date: Tue, 04 Nov 2003 19:10:56 +0000 From: arionatof@comcast.net Subject: Clutch Pedal Tension? Hi, Something strange happened couple days ago with my clutch pedal and I am still puzzled. The car was parked for one day and when I drove it yesterday the clutch pedal is suddenly stiffer. I check the brake fluid and it appears that I am a little over the Max level. I got some of the fluid out and it is a little softer now. it is still stiffer than before. The car drives fine and I can shift like before with no noticeable problems, I am just not sure what to make of the sudden change of pedal tension characterisitic. I did my front rotors last week but the car was fine. I did the struts/shock over this weekend and afterward the clutch does not appear to be any different. So I am not sure whether this is a concern or not. The brakes are fine and they seem to work without problems. Hopefully someone has seen this happens and know what the cause. I guess I will keep driving until something actually stops working. TIA, -Johnny 98 M3/4 -- mailto:mclee@ieee.org
