I placed mid pack in BR with a grossly underprepared car suspension wise on a really old set of victoracers. I think there's alot more there with new hoosiers and real suspension. You guys are going to get to find out! What's up with losing the site? In the past 3 years we have only cancelled one winter series event. We'll get lucky with a bright sunny clear day and be 70 degrees in the middle of jan, and we'll be running :) Lil cold in the morning. ONLY thing bad bout Colorado is the alt and the thin air, which robs you. Felt like I had a super charger(feeling I got when I drove Van Der Heide's car) when I went to nationals, since i've driven my car in colorado. If ya don't have the schedule, check out rmsolo.org. Hope to see ya out there. I also noticed that service indicator follows the driving style by quite a bit. I've had nearly 12,000 miles between some oil changes when I did virtually all highway driving for work, and closer to every 8,000 miles now that I do a lot more driving around town. - Chris

The length of the SI light interval can vary depending on driving conditions/style. It's explained here: http://www.peakeresearch.com/silights.htm Jim Bassett

#8. Difference between ltw and gt wings? - from DocWyte

Date: Thu, 13 Nov 2003 11:53:54 -0800 (PST) From: DocWyte <josh_wyte@yahoo.com> Subject: Difference between ltw and gt wings? So I was bopping around Turners website today and they have the ltw rear spoiler for $1369, and the GT rear spoiler with the front little winglets for $900. The two rear spoilers look absolutely identical, 3 peice construction, riser blocks, etc, etc. What's the deal? Why's the GT wing so much cheaper, even with the winglets thrown in? -josh ===== __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Protect your identity with Yahoo! Date: Thu, 13 Nov 2003 20:25:56 -0600 From: "Alain van der Heide" <ajvdh1@comcast.net> Subject: Re: [E36M3] Weird handling... Not Coors Field, but 2nd Creek (where they held the club races and driver's school for the '02 O'Fest). Technical, not real long, very funky ambiance and lots of places with very little run-off. However, it's 10 minutes from DIA, which makes it not real far from anywhere in the Denver metro area. Plenty of cheap test and tunes days. The bummer is the while the track is run by SCCA, RMVR (vintage), MRA (bikes) and various marque clubs, the land it's on is leased, and the lease runs out Fall of '04. So, everyone involved is scrambling to land to build another track. You can imagine how much fun that is in an area with a booming housing market (you want to build *what* next door to my $500k prairie palace?). As for Auto-x, the best venue locally (IMHO) is World Arena, in CO Springs. Coors courses are dictated by the layout (wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, u-turn, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle). WA is a large amorphous blob, so course designers can be truly sadistic. - Alain ----- Original Message ----- From: "DocWyte" <josh_wyte@yahoo.com> To: "E36M3" <e36m3@bmw-m.net> Sent: Wednesday, November 12, 2003 10:20 PM Subject: Re: [E36M3] Weird handling... > > What's up with losing the site? #10. Quick Brake Question - from Bill P

Does anyone know what type of "tool or driver" is required to take off the rotors? Also with the calipers, will it be OK to use a C-clamp or other to push the piston back without opening the bleed valves? Will this hurt the master cylender as the preasure pushing back into it? Thanks BP
