Hi all, I'm planning on doing the OBDII conforti cam/injector/plenum/etc upgrade to my 97 E36 M3 this month so I will be looking to sell my stock 3.2 M3 cams and injectors, and my ECIS cold air intake. The parts will be coming off the car in the first two weeks in february, so you should be able to have them in your hand by the 3rd week in Feb. Make me an offer! Please email me with offers or questions. Michael.gilbert4@comcast.net Regards, Mike 97 M3 IP #121

#2. Stock M3 camshaft spec - from Robert.Eric.Fesler@nsc.com

Date: Thu, 15 Jan 2004 14:03:48 -0800 From: Robert.Eric.Fesler@nsc.com Subject: Stock M3 camshaft spec Does anyone have the full specifications for the stock M3 camshaft centerline, lift at TDC overlap, timing, etc. Or for that matter then same information for the Schrick cams (261 E1 641-V2 and 261 A1 561-02). Those are the cams in the OBD2 camkit. I am trying to nail down the correct install spec for these. I have a badly faded fax of a fax for the Schricks and some of the numbers are undreadable. I need the stock spec more than the Schrick however. Thanks, Eric Fesler

This way I use soft water to wash the car. The key is to remove the minerals from the water and only a water softener or reverse osmosis system will do that for you. Of couse, an inline ion exchange column will work (essentially the guts of a water softener -- I believe that RV places have these. I don't think that you can recharge them like a softener, but it should last quite a while if all you are going to do is wash cars with it. Regards, Kirk Lachman '95 M3 #21 I-stock

#4. 16" Winter Wheels - from Rob Verenna

Date: Thu, 15 Jan 2004 17:50:07 -0500 From: Rob Verenna <rob@willraceforbeer.com> Subject: <FS> 16" Winter Wheels I have a set of TSW (?) 16" wheels that fit fine on my '95 M3, no spacers needed that I'm looking to sell. They currently have some fairly worn Blizzaks mounted on them (4 winters - there's some tread left but not much). I don't know the model, but they're fairly simple, plain, not chrome, and in great shape for winter wheels. I can provide digital pictures if anyone is interested. I put 17" snow tires on my stock wheels this winter (since a certain list member moved to Florida and doesn't need snow tires anymore), and will be selling the car come the spring. So if anyone is interested, make me an offer. I can ship without problem, you pay actual cost from 15301. Oh yeah, I can't seem to locate the center pieces - they're not caps like stock wheels, but a larger cap held in by a torx head screw that covers the lug nuts. I'll try again for an interested buyer but I can't guarantee that I'll find them. - rob George R Carr Jr wrote: >>It's likely that they will not fit. #9. Stereo...Driving Stealthboxes and a/d/s fronts. - from marc@plante.com

Date: Fri, 16 Jan 2004 11:22:17 -0500 (EST) From: marc@plante.com Subject: <Misc>Stereo...Driving Stealthboxes and a/d/s fronts. I'm writing with a fairly specific E36 car audio question for those that have BTDT... I have a set of JL Audio Stealthboxes in the rear and a/d/s 235is components in the front of a 4 dr E36, and I am in the process of buying a new, moderate power amplifier to drive them. I am looking at two amps. - Eclipse 3422 - Alpine MRV F340 They are both app 50w/ch 4 channel amps. The Alpine offers adjustable LP crossover levels (50-150 Hz), while the Eclipse LP is fixed at 90 Hz Is an adjustable crossover level required? or am I OK with the Eclipse with the fixed crossovers at 90 hz? Has anyone with this combination fiddled with the optimal frequency to set for (Or is this a matter of preference?). Any other comments about the brands? Thanks, Marc Plante E36 325i, 218k Vienna, VA Marc Plante marc@plante.com

#10. Phatnoise MP3/WMA player - from Carey Probst

Date: Fri, 16 Jan 2004 14:30:16 -0500 From: "Carey Probst" <hcprobst@alum.mit.edu> Subject: Phatnoise MP3/WMA player Has anyone had any experience with the Phatnoise MP3 replacement for the cd changer in a BMW. The changer in my '99 M3 has jammed and rather than spend a lot of money on repairs I was considering replacing it with a Phatnoise unit. Most web sites only list the Phatnoise for newer E46 models, except for Bavarian Auto. Any recommendations, experience, other brands to consider that are compatible?
