The connector plugged into the lower rear part of the oil filter canister, I wasn't expecting that! Chris

#4. WTB: '96-'99 Front strut mounts - from Eric Giles
Top
Date: Tue, 02 Mar 2004 09:15:46 -0600 From: Eric Giles <egiles@c-gate.net> Subject: WTB: '96-'99 Front strut mounts This past weekend I removed my front strut assemblies on my '97 M3/4 so that I could properly torque the upper strut nut on my Koni's using the tool I got from Victory Design (that works great!). I discovered that the right upper strut mount has a fair amount of side to side and up and down play in it, so it needs to be replaced. So, if anyone has a set of low mileage/perfect working order OEM front strut mounts from their '96-'99 M3 I would like to purchase them if the price is right. Please e-mail me if you do. Thanks- Eric Giles '97 M3/4 '90 M3

#6. Factory Spoiler Installation - from Riley, Scott
Top
Date: Tue, 2 Mar 2004 10:46:08 -0600 From: "Riley, Scott" <sriley@cardinalcapital.com> Subject: Factory Spoiler Installation Due to a rules change in 2004, I must now use a factory spoiler on my I-Stock racecar. I was able to purchase/find a factory decklid and spoiler from separate sources. The decklid does not have any holes in it. Does anyone have experience in installing a spoiler? Any tips, BTDT, etc.? My main concern is making sure that I measure correctly and only drill the holes once!! TIA, Scott

#9. Brake pads (Again) - from DocWyte
Top
Date: Tue, 2 Mar 2004 12:26:34 -0800 (PST) From: DocWyte <josh_wyte@yahoo.com> Subject: Brake pads (Again) Yeah, yeah, I know. This horse has been beaten over and over... However, I'm still not real happy with the pads on the M. Need a set of pads for predominantly street/auto-x use. I'll run "real" track pads on the track. I'm looking for something that doesn't have corrosive dust or noise. I had Hawk HP+, which had awesome stopping power, but were quite noisy and had horrible corrosive dust. I now have Axxis Ultimates, which don't really dust too much and are totally quiet, but (IMO) don't really stop worth a damn. Really poor pedal feel... I'm thinking about trying the Hawk HPS or Porterfield R4S, but want to get the list opinions first. Do either of these pads meet my criteria? TIA! -josh ===== __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Search - Find what you’re looking for faster http://search.yahoo.com
