Bruce Shafer" <mzealot@bellsouth.net> Subject: WTB, '93 E36 325i ECU I'm having a bad week, first my torque wrench falls apart, now my race car won't start or run with the new motor. It appears to be the ECU is not responding and firing the master and fuel pump relays. Everything worked fine when I blew up the motor. Does anybody have an ECU # 0261 200 413 laying around that they would want to sell? Please let me know. Thanks.

#2. Need list wisdom on the stock 3.2 flywheel - from Chris Teague

Date: Mon, 8 Mar 2004 18:01:02 -0800 From: "Chris Teague" <cteague@cox.net> Subject: Need list wisdom on the stock 3.2 flywheel I upgraded to a Rogue aluminum flywheel about 1.5 years ago. It's the only mod I didn't do myself. The local shop I took it too did a nice job. Been real happy. However, it's possible I might consider running a new autox class next year that doesn't allow aftermarket flyweels (STU). But when I had the aluminum one installed, I didn't bother to ask for the original one back. I could go back and see if they keep any of the old parts, but it's unlikely I could get mine back anyway. If this were just the old fashion solid hunk of steel flywheel, I would just get a used one. However, since it's a dual mass design, I was worried that the internal springs could be broken or something. Should I just start looking for a used one? Anything to check for? Or should I start looking for a good deal on a new one? Or is that more than the aluminum one goes for? Any difference between the 3.0 and 3.2 flywheels I need to watch out for? Any tips, hints, or leads on a good deal one a 3.2 flywheel would be appreciated. If there is nothing to worry about on a used one, I will likely contact the shop to see what they can do for me. I was very careful to not cross thread one of these, or so I hope. I realize that its hard in an email, but I"m curious ... if it were to get cross threaded , what exactly does a this sound like? Does the engine blow up, die, fade, or sound really rough? I just noticed today that it was a bit rough at idle. The sound could have been exasturbated by the fact that my car is parked against a wall and the sound and I never go there except to store things. I figured it was because the car was just started. I drove away and when I got to work it seemed fine, but again it could have been because I was parked against a wall. re

I've had them as street pads on my M3 forever (Blues or HP90/97 on the track). HPS have been light dusting in color (all pads dust, these dust in silverish/brownish color similar to that of the wheel paint), progressive in application (unlike the PBRs) and virtually squeal free. HPS pads will fade on track and aggressive autoXs (we run 4th gear autoX events in TX). Other than that, I've been very happy with them. The only alternative to HPS on my wife's E36 would be PBR Ultimates. But my past mediocre experiences with well-reviewed Deluxes and MetalMasters (both sucked) have prejudiced me against PBR products. YMMV, alex f

I've had Conforti software and intake in both my M3's, and dealing with with Jim and/or Josh has always been easy.
