I have heard of the brey krause unit, but have no experience. Chester, have any input on this one? However, if you want to have rear passengers, then the seat will have to be a bit forward. Every time you tilt the seat forward, the plastic trim will kinda bump into the fire extinguisher. It also restricts how far forward you can push the seat. Since my car was more of a daily driver, I took it out. I guess mine is for sale then ;) Chester --- Robert Manger <Robert_Manger@Mastercard.com> wrote: > In the market for a fire extinguisher mount for my M3, does any one happen > to have one available or know of a good way to mount it. I looked at the lower > control arm rear bushings, and am surprised that they look ok. It's more likely to be the tie rods, which have fixed inner and outer ball joints that are wear items. Since these run about $75 discounted each side plus maybe $25 for associated stuff (new boots, hardware) I'd sure replace them before the much more expensive steering rack. If you do them, put some anti-seize on the adjuster threads. Neil 96 M3 - new tie rods ready to be installed

Date: Wed, 17 Mar 2004 10:11:34 -0600 From: "Robert Exconde" <99e36m3@exconde.com> Subject: Need help! A few weeks back I had changed my spark plugs. The M3 has been fine between this time, until this morning, I was traveling on LSD and all of a sudden my car started to vibrate under load and I think a loss of power ( I say I think because the roads were bad today and I do(nt) think that I was slipping ) I managed to make it to work today in Lake Forest, but it was exremely rough coming up here. I passed by Knauz and HD to pick up tools to inspect the plugs, hopefully during lunch. And Im trying to figure out what to do before I go home tonight. Is there anthing else that could contribute to this? The spark plugs are the only thing that I can thing of that would have done this? What is the danger of driving the car under this conditions? Obviuosly I dont want to damage it any more than it is. . . my spam filter is working rather wierd so email me at : rye.removethis@exconde.com I did that so the spambots dont get my other email adderss.

How did you diagnose them, was disassembly required first? Thanks! But if you're going to do all that, you might as well just replace them.. Chester --- Stan.Shaw@Excell.Net wrote: > I haven't been able to detect any play in them.
