Date: Fri, 19 Mar 2004 00:46:53 -0800 From: <jpaek21@yahoo.com> Subject: problems after installing 24# injectors I just added Bosch 24lb injectors along with the appropriate chip and now the car is throwing a CEL: Fault Code- Knock Control Test Pulse. Symptoms: Every 10-15 seconds while idling, I hear a "click" sounding from the front of the engine and the idle immediately dips down by 200-300 RPM. Most likely from the engine misfiring. I checked for vacuum leaks and everything seems to be fine. Took out the injectors, reinstalled, and now the car is throwing a CEL Fault Code 1281 - Control Unit Memory Supply with the same symptoms. Any ideas as to why the car is responding as mentioned above? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. -Justin 95 M3 w/Euro HFM, CAI, and BOSCH 24lb injectors.

I've seen sevral w/o sunroofs: One for sale on eBay last year, same color as mine. Bob Tunnell's '95 autox car Ron Katona's autox car Vic Sias' autox car I believe I've seen 10-12 (not including LTW) that don't have the holes in the roof They are out there, you just have to search for them. I believe the progression goes something like this: Get a sedan and get 1" more than a coupe to start with... get manual seats and get 1" more than power seats.... get something without a sunroof and get another 1". Bottom line... an M3/4 with manual seats and no sunroof will have about 3" more headroom than a Coupe with power seats and a sunroof. Dave Kelley 98 M3/4 Manual Seats with Sunroof! Date: Fri, 19 Mar 2004 14:52:12 +0000 From: <jbjerke@charter.net> Subject: [Fwd: Hold the Sunroof Please] Keep in mind that the sedan has about 1" more headroom than the coupe. This would make a sedan with sunroof similar to a coupe without sunroof. Now a sedan without a sunroof would be a very rare find but have the most headroom. > > Date: Thu, 18 Mar 2004 22:55:04 -0600 > > From: Kevin Bishop <kbishop371@comcast.net> > > Subject: Hold the Sunroof Please > > > > With my helmet on in my M3/4 my head is in constant contact with the > > roof. I had a very similar problem once (albeit with an E30 but also a Valeo alternator). Anyway, thanks Shane and to all the others that do the same. Regards, Rich

#8. Check Brake Light Circuit fault - from John Hoffner

Date: Fri, 19 Mar 2004 09:41:22 -0800 From: John Hoffner <jhoffner@gcfinc.com> Subject: Check Brake Light Circuit fault I have this same problem on my 95 M3. The consensus is the switch on the brake peddle needs to be replaced. There are two type, a two prong and a four prong version. You will need to identify the switch needed for your car. My local supplier sells them at $16.00 for the two prong and $30.00 for the four prong. I'm sure you will find similar or better cost.
