They are about $3.50 each. Chester --- Patrick Goss - PA <Patrick_Goss@GMACM.COM> wrote: > Thanks Jim. No not California, PA actually. Another good plug is the NGK BCP6EV gold fine-wire plug. I'd stay away from platinum plugs and definately pass on any "multiple electrode" style plug. Platinum is used by OEM's for it's durability, not its performance. They are smooth, gas mileage is unchanged and the performance is fine. I'd bet no better than the stock plugs but no worse either. You can get them at Pep Boys or AutoZone for $6.99 ea. Just one more option if you are in a hurry to get the job done... -----Original Message----- From: Patrick Goss - PA [mailto:Patrick_Goss@GMACM.COM] Sent: Thursday, March 25, 2004 1:40 PM To: E36M3 Subject: [E36M3] Spark plugs Date: Thu, 25 Mar 2004 13:25:57 -0500 From: Patrick Goss - PA <Patrick_Goss@GMACM.COM> Subject: Spark plugs My newly purchased Msedan didn't come with an owners manual. #4. Brake Lines and Octane Boosters - from John Galt

Date: Thu, 25 Mar 2004 14:58:35 -0800 From: John Galt <klein@robinsonad.com> Subject: Brake Lines and Octane Boosters I'll second the Stop Tech vote. I've had them on for a year (shop installed at the same time as a brake flush and service) and I've seen no rubbing or wear issues. My pedal feel is another problem that I'll address elsewhere. As for the Octane Boosting, I thought I had heard on this list (or perhaps another, I grant) that these additives would cause fouling of the O2 sensors and as such, weren't recommended. Am I amiss? Luckily, I do a lot of business in Jersey, which is right over the bridge. I just paid $1.67 today, for Mobil 93. I just picked up a set of the 4303 Bosch from Pep Boys, and installed them on my 99. I got a 2.5mpg increase, and the car runs nice and smooth. My existing plugs had 30k miles on them. Whatever you do, don't get the +4! I installed them on my previous 328, and it was not happy about it. I've heard the same from others. Where in PA are you? I'm in Yardley. Chris >> >Thanks Jim. No not California, PA actually. I know they take different plugs as far as the dealer specs, but I'm wondering if I'm free to put any plug I see in the list discussions into my 95, or whether the "barrier shall ne'er be crossed" between the 95 and 96+ cars. It's about time for my 150k service, so now's as good a time as any to ask. :) - Chris

Now to continue to impress with my cluelessness in this area... Where does one look up part numbers? I need valves, valve guides, springs, and such for a US 3.0 engine. You know... Stuff to fix what I hope is minor money-shift damage from a 7600-7800 rpm range hit.
