In my incident, I missed the center guard rail, but I did a 180 in the middle of local road on almost bald S03s. Managed to keep it off the curbs, and place the car on the shoulder of the road facing traffic. I think a stunt car driver would have been proud.... Anyway, the new Pilot Sport-2s are cheaper than both the S03s and original Pilot Sport right now or at least they were when I bought my Pilot Sport-2s a couple of weeks ago. The PS-2s are really nice, so far I am happier with this tire, though I need some rain to really see how they compare to the S03s. Of course there is Kuhmo or Yokohama and other good inexpensive street tires for those that needing larger track tire budgets. -Justin -- '76 02 '97 m3 bmw cca checkout http://www.bmw2002.net

I've never touched that screw on my set of ZKW Ellipsoids and not sure of its function either! Currently, I'm using Euro Free Form Technology headlights (also made by ZKW) on my '95 that a friend brought back from Germany some years back. Was told that this was an option on later E36s in Europe. This set though does not have the questionable screw. I think it's the 80 nm, 110 lb-ft one, and then only as a preventive measure to avoid over tightening them. I (now) always retorque with a wrench after using them torque stick. Last time I didn't and relied only on the stick the left front worked lose at Watkins Glen, not what you want to happen going into the boot. Other than that, the torque wrench is my friend and the impact wrench is primarily to remove difficult nuts/bolts, not put them back. Bottom line is, the radio sucks, nobody will steal the POS. BMW needs to get their act together. This, the service indicator, and other crap that BMW comes up with is starting to get real old. I'm in South Florida, any trip to a dealer is a major ordeal, consuming at least half a day, and I will be charged for this service (because of the clueless clowns down here that lease these cars and allow this type of precedent to be set). I have no relationship with a dealer even though I have a BMW race car and street car. Fortunately I do have good relationships with some excellent shops in the area and around the country, and this list sure helps. I could go on but it is no use... ----- Original Message ----- From: "R. Probably an adjustment or mounting screw for the reflector. I've had my ellipsoids apart twice, and frankly, haven't concerned myself with it. And no, I'm not taking them apart a THIRD time jut to answer the question :-) Jim Bassett 1998 M3/4 1993 325is #44 JP/A5
