That almost made sense ;) The front panel for the '95 is different than the '96+ ones in that the '95 has the recessed grills and the '96+ have more pronounced grills. I prefer the '96+ ones =) Cost is about $80. > In other news, I ran dangerously low on gas this morning, this dang range > light tell me too much, so I end up pushing it. Running low on gas shouldn't set off the CEL. If you left the engine running while you filled up, that would set it off. Chester =====

I might as well goto the dealer...btw, I am talking about the metal support frame and fascia, not the kidney plastic grills. An M-friend of mine ran low on gas to the point of sputtering, and the CEL stayed on for awhile. I've filled up with the engine on before and no-CEL. Hmmmm....I've read about that code before, the EVAP large leak detected right? I might as well goto the dealer... <snip> You betcha. When I bought my M3, the roundels in the wheels were pretty trashed. Looked on eBay. $20+$7s&H "Buy it Now" for 4 stick on roundels. Stopped by my local independant shop and $17 (including tax) later, I was the proud owner of the 4 roundels I needed. How can it cost $7 to slip 4 disks of aluminum in an envelope? I recently saw the E36 Bentley manual for sale on eBay, bids starting at $55. Bimmerzone has it for sale everyday for ~$46. Caveat Emptor! Graeme

I am going to change my valvecover and might as well put in new plugs while I am there. I currently have stock bosch for a 95 M3. the car does have the eurosport cam kit if that matters. It will if you run low enough that the engine mis-fires (BTDT). If you have the Peake tool, Patrick, go ahead and read out the codes for reference and reset. All should be well. Date: Tue, 13 Apr 2004 13:25:54 -0700 From: Steven Tom <stom@qualcomm.com> Subject: RE: [E36M3] Grills and CEL I was told to never leave the key in the on position when filling up for gas because the car on occasion will run tests for fuel tank pressure in which case you will throw a CEL. This then faults into an EVAP error. steve At 12:55 PM 4/13/2004 -0600, Patrick Goss - PA wrote: >Date: Tue, 13 Apr 2004 14:47:08 -0400 >From: Patrick Goss - PA <Patrick_Goss@GMACM.COM> >Subject: RE: [E36M3] Grills and CEL > >So this e_bayers are getting greedy no? CEL came on only when the sputtering began. Peake tool indicated "misfire detected, cylinder {2,3,6}". i reset the light while filling up, and haven't seen it since. zs
