You could always get the euro motor from BimmerWorld. They sell used and rebuilt complete euro motors with throttle bodies and electronics. #3. X-Brace and RSM reinforcement install - from Kent L. Shephard

Date: Wed, 14 Apr 2004 22:47:08 -0700 From: "Kent L. Shephard" <kents@kls-consulting.com> Subject: X-Brace and RSM reinforcement install Hi, Bought the X-Brace today. 15 minute install. Took longer to get the car in the air then it did to install the brace. I don't know if it feels any different. I haven't driven it around any hard corners yet. What is the best way to get the insulation/trim in the truck pulled out to install the RSM reinforcement? I bought the plates when I bought the X-Brace but I'm not sure the best way to get at the RSM. Is it common to cut an access hole, go with inverted plates, or just remove the trim to get to them next time? I'm also waiting for my K&N drop in. I removed the baffle already. I guess I plan to get Sharked since my E30 M3 was. Any thoughts on Samco Hoses when I replace the water pump and plastic thermostat housing? Thanks, Kent

I just pulled back the trim, replaced the RSMs, and returned the trim. Hardest part of the whole process was removing the stock CD player. The verdict was unanimous - nobody else's transmission does this. It looks like I'm the sole lucky soul. I guess I had a right to be paranoid. Thanks again, - Chris
