Oddly enough, the part number shows that it's the same radiator from the euro E36M3s. 17 11 2 227 281. I forgot where people said to get this radiator as the dealer prices are pretty high for these. #8. AA supercharger update! - from DocWyte
Top
Date: Wed, 16 Jun 2004 10:58:02 -0700 (PDT) From: DocWyte <josh_wyte@yahoo.com> Subject: AA supercharger update! Well, It's been about 1000 miles since I first put the blower in a bit under a month ago. Figured I'd give an update on my progress. I did manage to get a boost gauge installed and have verified that I'm making full boost of 8.5 psi at redline. The car also pulls 20-21 inches of vacuum at idle, so I have no vacuum leaks. Car still works just like stock. No problems with cold starts, hot starts or repeated hot starts. Nothing is rubbing, there's plenty of clearance for everything. I recently cleaned the K&N air filter, something I'd meant to do before installing the kit, but didn't have time to do. Holy crap did that ever make a difference! Mondo power increase. Only down side is the blower whine is a little louder now. :-) Power is very smooth and progressive, no jerking or hiccups or dead spots. Partial throttle is strong, even with the boost gauge reading "0", the car is still markedly stronger than stock. I haven't had any issues with the drive belt, or problems with belt dust. I haven't had a chance to dyno the car yet, I hope to do that before I leave on my road trip to Colorado. So in conclusion, I'm still very happy with the kit and it's operating at 100% with no flaws or issues. -josh ===== __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? New and Improved Yahoo! #10. Tire fitment question. - from Townsend, William
Top
Date: Wed, 16 Jun 2004 14:50:09 -0400 From: "Townsend, William" <wtownsen@enterasys.com> Subject: Tire fitment question. I have a 96 M3 and want to run 235/45 17" RA1's all around on the stock staggered rims. Anyone doing this or tried this? Don't have the $$ for new rims so the stock rims are all I have. I know the 235/45 is not recommended on a 7.5 rim. (BMW did it on the 95 M3) [as usual, the rims are 7.5f 8.5r] Was thinking the 255 for the rear but no one has them. Even if I wanted inexpensive rims like kosei rims, not available right now from TireRack. Thanks, --Bill
