I was thinking it may be a connection issue, or could it be the speaker itself? Anyone had similar experiences? Thanks, Ahmad

#2. Shifter upgrade. - from ///max

Date: Tue, 22 Jun 2004 11:27:34 -0400 From: "///max" <max_m3@yahoo.com> Subject: Shifter upgrade. I can't speak of the Stygar version, but I've used the Rogue for a year now and absolutely love it! I didn't realize exactly how good it is till I recently drove a bone stock e36 and couldn't believe that I had forgotten how long the throw was! The Rogue has the same dampening material inside the shaft just like the OEM, so tranny vibrations are isolated, and the lower weighted rod makes shifting easy and "sure". I also installed the Rogue tranny mounts at the same time, and I have never missed a shift either on the street or at the track. Highly recommended and I would definitely go that route again. -max > Date: Tue, 22 Jun 2004 02:01:04 +0000 > From: "John Phillips" <jlphil@hotmail.com> > Subject: Shifter upgrade: Ron Stygar setup vs Rogue > > I'm going to upgrade the shifter on my '95 M3, built 2/95, with 91,000+ > miles. If you didn't, suggest that you do. The side panels are attached by clips and just come off. Trying to put the shelf back without removing these is quite difficult. Being as you are replacing the platic cup anyway it is easy to get out by either breaking it or the two screwdriver method. I used the needle-nosed plier method and had no problems. On the b****-clip I just used the big-a** screwdriver pry the heck out of it method. Everything else is pretty straight forward.

I have been using it in my 95 M3 for over 1-1/2 years now and it is a very nice upgrade over stock. I did recently have a problem with the shifter whereby the rod started moving up and down in the ball. I called Rogue to find out what might be the issue, they shipped me an entire new shifter at no charge, no questions asked, along with a UPS call tag for the old one. The guy on the phone said that they currently didn't have one in stock to fit my car, but Ben would make one up and ship it out. I received it three days later. In my mind you cannot beat that level of customer service, full warranty 1-1/2 years after the sale with absolutely no haggling. Many regards Jamie Howton
