If you have a pair and don't want to split them up I might be willing to buy both if the price is decent. I can be reached at davidboffa@hotmail.com. Thanks, Dave 1998 M3

These wheels take a lot of abuse throughout the course of the season and all of them have held up nicely. We have even had one that was bent pretty badly and it still held air. Awesome wheels. They are also easy to clean and always look good. You won't be disappointed with those wheels at all. #4. Stock Radio: Need ID on connectors - from jakeadavis@comcast.net

Date: Wed, 25 Aug 2004 14:32:48 +0000 From: jakeadavis@comcast.net Subject: Stock Radio: Need ID on connectors Getting ready to replace the stock head unit in my 1995 with an Alpine 9813. The stock head unit is Alpine unit with external amp, 6 CD Alpine changer and "10 speaker system". I've already replaced the stock amp and speaker system. Using a 5 channel amp, a 'reverse box' subwoofer in the trunk and Dynaudio System 360 speaker system. I've got pinouts for the main radio connector and CD changer. Found the antenna connector, will need an adapter for the Alpine. But there's one more connector just above the antenna connector, a very small, almost RF looking 90 degree coaxial type connector. Haven't figured out what this one is, anybody know? BTW, the Dynaudios are outstanding! They also fit in stock locations: mid/tweet in door, a 360mm (7 inch) midwoofer in the kick panel, making for an extremely stealthy install. The downside...the Dynes are extremely revealing so crappy source material sounds crappy. Not cheap, but well worth it and highly recommended.. While the stock CD changer is pretty decent, the tuner is CRAP. Also, the reception has been gradually getting worse and worse. Final straw is weird 'birdies' interference. Will have to check out all connections, antenna amp and grounds while I'm in there. Any similar experiences and/or fixes? Jake Davis

The setup really balanced the car nicely and looks good to boot. I am running 235/40-17 SO3's and I find the grip to be excellent. My biggest problem is that Kumho MX or Falken Azenias (sp?) aren't available in the right size, my car is a fair weather and autocross vehicle only so I don't need wet traction. I don't know if you're looking at the silver or Diamond Black, but the Black's look clean for a long time at least until you touch them. Here's a couple of pictures (which the list will block). #6. BMW Shifter Slop - from Jonathan Evans
Top
Date: Wed, 25 Aug 2004 11:06:47 -0400 From: "Jonathan Evans" <jonathanevans@hotmail.com> Subject: BMW Shifter Slop Okay, without starting some sort of major battle about which company makes the best short shifter (that may come later), all I want is feedback about how people have fixed the "wooden spoon in a bowl of Jell-O" feel of a worn factory shifter. It's amazing I can still tell the difference between 1st and 3rd gear. I can measure the movement of the top of the knob in idle and in any gear in INCHES. 9 years has done a number on the whole unit. So, will replacing the OEM unit with a short shifter actually help with this? I like the product from UUC that replaces the linkage rod as well. It looks possible to just replace the rod and keep the OEM shifter, but I think the whole system needs replacing, not just the shifter. So I'd like feedback from folks who upgraded to a short shifter to replace worn factory parts that had failed, not just for the short shift feel. Let's not start the Rogue or UUC dialog quiet yet. I was on the list when all that went down. Thanks, Jonathan -95M3 -92 miata (best shifter feel in any car, even after 160k miles)

You can ignore that other connector. I forget what it is for. I got the harness and antenna kit from Crutchfield when I bought the head unit. #8. BBS RGR in 17x9? - from Zack Steinkamp

Date: Wed, 25 Aug 2004 10:09:25 -0700 (PDT) From: Zack Steinkamp <edsarkiss@yahoo.com> Subject: BBS RGR in 17x9? group -- 17x8's BBS RGRs in the silver finish are backordered for 2-3 months according to the three places i've talked to. i called CT Motorsport in Oakland, CA earlier today to check if they might have a set of the wheels in stock. the guy i talked to (didn't get his name) mentioned that they use 17x9 on their race cars, and that there wouldn't be any fit issues on an e36 m3, aside from needing a spacer on the front. anyone else run 17x9's (et38) on an e36 m3? my main concern is that the wheels would stick out from the fenders in the front. also, i'd like to keep as much of the good steering feel of the current stock setup as possible. thanks zs

Looks like there's some clips back there. I just noticed that the middle of the passenger side side molding is loose, can be pulled away from the body a bit. Are these clips replacable individually? Seems like they should be. Part number? Tips for installing these things? Thanks in advance, Andrej '97 M3

Coil Over or no? Urethane bushings or no? K-Mac camber plate or something else? Not sure what to buy?
