No, no, no, and no :) Eibach pro-kit springs with either Koni SAs or Bilsteins will suit you very well. The stock bushings are fine. Camber plates? Why? If you want to dial in a bit more camber, you can put '95 bearing hats on. For even more, you can swap the '96+ ones left to right. Chester --- "Kent L. I went with Tirerack SSR Comps and Kumho v700 235/40/17 all around; a little more balanced handling now at Watkins Glen, can rotate tires a little more easily for wear, and the SSR's are much easier to clean than the BBS (but then I'm lazy ;-) Though RGR's were my 2nd choice... My understanding is that the situation I was in isn't all that much different than a what a worn factory shifter ends up like. I replaced it with the most recent UUC kit and got the selector rod replacement as well because the factory rod had a lot of rotation in it at the joint, and it's a world of difference so far. The real test will be this weekend when I go back to race at a track where I should have been using 2nd out of a turn but wasn't because the shifter slop made me nervous about trying to find third at redline. :) I have no affiliation with UUC; I'm just a very satisfied customer. (They warrantied the failed shifter kit even though it was a) very old and b) I hadn't bought it from them, it came with the car. The plastic grommets are only to be replaced if necessary (you've replaced the plastic clip and there is still slop)...they are a bitch to pull out. Once you got the expanding rivets out, just yank on the rocker panel out. If the plastic clips stay on the car, you have to pop them off and reinstall on the rocker panel (well, you'd use new ones, right?). Then slowly line up and stap into the grommets. Date: Wed, 25 Aug 2004 15:28:33 -0400 From: <cteague@cox.net> Subject: Re: [E36M3] BBS RGR in 17x9? Zack, You should be fine in front. It'll be tight in the rear though. I run 17x9 SSRs with the ET45 offset. I use a 15mm spacer in front. With your ET38, if you used an 8mm spacer, it would be the same as mine. I don't get any rubbing in front with 255/40 Kumho Victoracers. In the rear they rub a little on the inside, and a little on the outer fender, even after I rolled them. The ET38 wheels would easily clear the inside, but with my tires, they would rub too much on the outside. It's tire dependent of course. ET42 for me would probably be the optimum fit with that tire.
