Personally, I liked Eibachs better because A) The ride was better B) Car didn't sit too low (near stock height) C) Closest- in spring rates - to Euro M3 (BTW Bilsteins were designed/valved on stock Euro springs) hence no over or under dampening. Eibach rates are 20% stiffer than stock (front and rear) unlike 90% increase on the front and a mere 10% increase on the rear for H&Rs. Just my .02 cents. Had a cone wedged underneath it that popped a couple of them loose after an event. Any good hints on how to reinstall with out doing any further damage to the other clips? Thanks in advance, Rob. Anyone headed to the Glen this weds and thurs? wouldn't mind meeting some of the listers if I can. ----------------------------------------- CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE This e-mail message and any attachments are only for the use of the intended recipient and may contain information that is privileged, confidential or exempt from disclosure under applicable law. Here are some pictures if anyone is interested: http:\\lynx.dac.neu.edu\j\jechambe\springs\PIC00001.JPG http:\\lynx.dac.neu.edu\j\jechambe\springs\PIC00002.JPG http:\\lynx.dac.neu.edu\j\jechambe\springs\PIC00003.JPG The rear is kind of low for my tastes. I was wondering if anyone has a picture of an M3 with H&R OE sport springs installed with Bilsteins, so that I could possibly compare the rear ride height of the two different spring sets. I think that the front ride height is perfect. I was considering just buying a few 10mm spring pads and modifing them so that I could put 2 or 3 of them on each side to raise the ride hight. I haven't yet driven the car too much, as I need an alignment (getting it done tommorrow), so I can't comment on the difference of the new Bilsteins. I had the older style Bilsteins on my 93 325 with a full M3 suspension, so I will be able to compare the two. Enjoy! Jesse Chamberlain --99 Imola Red M3 --93 325i

Yeah that AC jack is awesome. Only thing is it is heavy as heck! I use that one at home. For the track I take an el cheapo aluminum Harbor Freight which is easy to carry and I only use it for tire changes anyway. Carlos.

I'm not familiar with this magazine but I like the 95 M3 so I grabbed a copy. Lots of mods, the car sounds cool but scary with stock brakes. I really got a kick out of the fact the owner of the car is a youth marketing manager for DaimlerChrysler. The article does go on to say the remainder of his cars are DaimlerChrysler.

Date: Mon, 30 Aug 2004 11:16:49 EDT From: KResener@aol.com Subject: Re: Recommendation for Auto Transport Company Ron, I researched this thoroughly a few months ago when I inherited an old Mercedes in California and needed to get it to me in Indiana. Several web sites to go to and enter your info in and they'll quote you a rate. Obvious drivers for cost are covered vs uncovered and how flexible you are with needing the car. Best rate came from _www.caronatruck.com_ (http://www.caronatruck.com) . I had quotes for uncovered transport ranging from their low of $700 up to $1,800!! All with flexible delivery time. Guy that showed up to pick up the car was in a brand new truck and big ass trailer, and was extremely courteous to my mother. He was from Silverado Transport, Inc., out of Willard MO. Silverado's direct phone is 417-742-2548, maybe if you contact them directly you can cut out the middle man? Either way both companies were easy to deal with, and lowest cost to boot. Every time I thought I was having them move a very expensive car for me, they would show up with other, even more expensive cars in the trailer, and all of the cars are equally treated with kid gloves. Always excellent communication with the drivers via cell phone, prompt pickup and delivery, and every driver has been someone I would completely trust again. http://intercitylines.com/ -- Jay Morris

Date: Mon, 30 Aug 2004 11:53:38 -0400 From: LoweSeaton@aol.com Subject: Re: [E36M3] SideSkirt Clip part numbers Rob, Really no need to know what the part number is. Your only source is going to be the dealer anyway and they will immediately know what they are. They are pretty cheap - I think they were under 50 cents each last time I bought some. I forget how many are on each side but no need to know that either. You will have to remove the sideskirt to replace the broken ones and I promise you will break a couple more in the process. There is a slight trick to getting the skirt off. Again, I think you pull the bottom edge up but you will figure it out. Don't worry about breaking a couple of the clips. The biggest trick is getting the plastic "rivets" out of the rear wheel well. I haven't figured out how to reuse them. I just push the center pin into the frame and then remove the outer part. This destroys the rivets so I have to buy two more each time. Lowell Seaton '95 M3
