I bought a brake cooling kit from them and they were absolutely top-notch to work with. It seems to be a time based thing, as if I put them back on high they'll get even hotter than they did the first time. Mine don't shut off automatically; they just stay on low. I have 5 of them. I'd prefer to sell in the NW I will provide pictures to interested parties, if you email me at quest@pacifier.com I'm horrible at responding to PM's This is the staggered polished setup with 3 17x7.5 2 17x8.5 Condition: 1 of the wheels is brand new and has never seen the street 3 are PERFECT but have seen the street 1 of the rears has some minor curb rash (about 3 inches long) that can be seen in the pictures) Tires: One of the 7.5's is my spare and has NEVER been mounted, it has a brand new Michelin Pilot SX tire on it. The other wheels have Nokian NRH all weather tires on them with about 60% tread left. I also have a brand new front Nokian tire for these wheels I'd include If you'd like I have a full set of Kuhmo's (4) (I forget the model number) that I will also include with the wheels as I will have no use for them, they have about 60% tread all the way around. We can negotiate for these as well I'll be taking offers for them over $1500 (with the Nokian's, although I can make you a great deal with the Kuhmo's) remember this is 5 not 4 of these wheels in EXCELLENT condition, no low ballers please. You can email me at quest@pacifier.com and I'd be happy to show them locally, you can also call me at 360-907-5999. I can deliver them/meet half way to Seattle. Buyer to pay actual shipping costs.

#5. new R-Compound tires from TireRack - Dunlops? - from Mdriver13@aol.com

Date: Thu, 14 Oct 2004 17:20:02 -0400 From: Mdriver13@aol.com Subject: new R-Compound tires from TireRack - Dunlops? Group, Just saw TireRack's recent add showing an R-compound tire made by Dunlop, think it was called "SP Sport". Comes in 245x40x17 for $126. The Rack says it must be shaved, but that size and price still look good to me. I drove on the Kumho Ecsta V700's and felt the grip was pretty good, but I'd like to go larger than 235x40x17 while still driving to events on them (means Hoosiers are out). Anybody know about these tires???? TIA, -- Bob Gill 97 ///M3 coupe Philly Region SCCA BSP Champ '01 and '02 SM '03 and '04

They work very well, though they don't warm the seat (leather) as rapidly as OEM heaters do. Installation wasn't too bad - should have taken about 1/2 day (I knocked the primary connector to the fuse panel slightly ajar, resulting in an electrical gremlin which took a few days to figure out.) All you're doing with adjustable swaybars is changing their length. I'd be happy to hear anyone's explanation to the contrary (with references, of course :-)) (I always adjust the rear swaybar on the race car with the whole rear end up on jack stands - only way I can get under the car :-)) >but I don't always make sense. ;) That's a given. Seriously, why would the loading of the springs/shocks matter? All >you're doing with adjustable swaybars is changing their length. I've always wondered about that and have always adjusted them with the suspension unloaded cuz I'm poor and don't have an alignment rack in the garage to keep the suspension loaded. :-) >I'd be happy to hear anyone's explanation to the contrary (with references, >of course :-)) No references but I believe the goal is to remove the pre-load from them by using adjustable links. I plan on doing it with the suspension loaded when I get ready to go racin'! My logic is at some point the car will be corner weighted and the ride height set, at that point the sway bar links can be adjusted (length wise). Makes sense? Carlos.
