Ok all, I've searched the archives and I've scoured the net and narrowed it down to these two: - Bosch FGR8KQC/ Bosch FGR8KQE (can't find these E ones anywhere yet) - NGK BKR6EIX Right now I'm leading to the latter, seems that the NGK Iridiums hold up very well and work great for all sorts of applications. I didn't see a resolution in the archives over which plugs to use either so I'm just posting to see if anyone knows. By the way, I am running a 1997 M3/4. Thanks! ted

Basically my M3 is a garage queen and just sits a lot throughout the year. Last year I only put 3k miles on it. I just want to make sure it stays healthy and clean. With that being said, should I use some sort of injector cleaner too so that things dont get gummed up? Drygas is primarily used to remove water condensation in the fuel lines to keep them from freezing or to thaw frozen lines. Gas doesn't freeze but the condensed water does. Unless you are up north, probably not a consideration. On the otherhand, you probably should keep the tank filed with gas which has had a fuel stabilizer added to prevent gumming up the engine and starting/running problems. Stale fuel can cause many problems with starting and running. It will work if you use the key on passenger side, but it is very hard/rough to turn the key. The passenger side door handle also feels notchy and rough. Also noticed that you cannot turn the key at all in the trunk lock. The doors also seem to need an extra hard push to get them to close. The driver side door locking mechanism (handle and locking unit) has been replaced not to long ago. Any help is welcomed. Bill P

Could be a worn gasket on the gas cap, so that even if the cap is secured all the way it just doesn't make a good seal. If so, replace the passenger side lock actuator. About $80 from the dealer the last time I looked. Bentley has a section on this procedure. It is a very common failure point. 3 out of 4 lock actuators had failed on my wife's E36. Luckily, two went out under warranty. > but it is very hard/rough to turn the key. I was going to suggest lubing the door lock and/or adjusting the strike plate. If you having the difficulty with all the locks, including the trunk, I would suspect the key. It could be bent or damaged with age.
