No caustic > dust with either of these. But, have been thinking of trying Hawks. As Jonathan mentioned, the discount applies to all the pads, AFAIK. I regularly get ~20% off the Hawks pads I've been buying for the race car, and received a similar discount on the PF90/97s I used to run on the M3 as track pads. > new stuff coming over the winter...must not go near the > slope!! If you've already ordered it, you're already on the slope (and probably gaining speed :-)). Good luck with that, but we all know you're doomed :-) Jim Bassett - been doomed for a while now ---------------------------------------------------------------- This message was sent using IMP, the Internet Messaging Program.

#2. WTB HK Speakers - from Peter Wheeler

Date: Wed, 10 Nov 2004 16:04:04 -0600 From: Peter Wheeler <peter@bavarianonline.com> Subject: WTB HK Speakers Howdy, I was wondering if anyone happened to have a pair of the 3" Harmon Kardon door speakers collecting dust somewhere that they wouldn't mind selling. Honestly they don't even have to be collecting dust, or any specific color, just functional and the small/micro plug (96+) version. Single speakers or pairs. Would also entertain non HK speakers so long as they are the micro plug version, and there is a matching pair. Thanks, Peter Wheeler JPWheelr@DakarM3.com Peter@BavarianOnline.com

#6. Brake caliper upgrade kit (update) - from GGray657@aol.com
Top
Date: Thu, 11 Nov 2004 12:52:12 EST From: GGray657@aol.com Subject: Brake caliper upgrade kit (update) I found the calipers I am going to use front and rear. They have dust seals and can be built with either a race type piston with thermal barrier or the stock dust seals. Price for the kit will run 500-800 front only. Kit will include the following. Calipers, brackets, lines, pads. This will be a direct bolt on to the E36 M3 brake rotor. Options will be, ducted backing plates, and possibly a two piece rotor. I am going to try and get a set to test fit before Christmas. More to come as the project progresses.. Thanks, Gary Gray Pro Bike/Pro Bike Cycling Team

Access to a wider variety of pads? - Mark ----- mark@pdc-racing.net

I'm 6' ~200#, do martial arts and my upper body still slides around in the corners. The bolsters do not reach high enough to do much good. I strongly prefer driving my wife's E36 4-door with lux/'sport' seats. They trade the Vader look and supple leather for better fit and a functional head rest. > (My upper torso currently slides around a bit when taking corners, > etc). Only a 4+ point harness will trully fix that. > That way I preserve the factory look completely, and only a very > discerning eye would ever be able to tell that the driver's seat > had been slightly modified. The factory look is just that. If you want comfort and support, consider and aftermarket seat. Expect to pay $300+ for decent manual seats. The shopping will be tricky as you absolutely must test fit them before ordering. If you want OE 'sport/lux' seats, expect to may $300+ for a used one anyway. HTH, alex f LSC

I like the sense of humor on these guys: What's the plan? Increase power with a turbo and then sort the chassis with motorsport parts-brakes, suspension, roll-cage-so the car is good in a straight line and cornering. Then we'll add some ICE. Shouldn't this be secret? In that case, we're putting a 454 Hemi in it with Holley double-pumpers and a Weiand huffer. It's gonna be in the nines. Also, why is the air filter on the wrong side of the engine? http://www.editorscharitychallenge.com/eurotrash/trackday/ <http://www.editorscharitychallenge.com/eurotrash/trackday/> - E ________________________________ From: Ron Buchalski [mailto:rbuchals@hotmail.com] Sent: Thu 11/11/2004 5:22 PM To: E36M3 Subject: [E36M3] eBay Editor's Charity Challenge Date: Thu, 11 Nov 2004 17:21:13 -0500 From: "Ron Buchalski" <rbuchals@hotmail.com> Subject: eBay Editor's Charity Challenge Check this out on eBay: http://www.editorscharitychallenge.com/ In particular, check out the entry entitled "Eurotrash": http://www.editorscharitychallenge.com/eurotrash/ The results don't look too promising.
