The Kumho 710 is THE tire to have for Solo2 now, and Vic is running the sizes that fit under his enormous fender flares. Tunnell has remained loyal to Hoosier, and uses the best size available for the car, which he feels is a 18". I would be curious as to what reason Tunnel is choosing 18's. As for what another mentioned on the 16" option... BBS made custom 16" wheels for the E36 M3 to compete with back in the mid 90's. However, that was due to competition regulations. I've not seen other 16" wheels that fit over the brakes, and that I would trust on the track. -Chris Salter

I'm in southern Oregon. From the bay area north to Seattle is doable. I've found a couple of places that will ship to me. But, I'd prefer to be able to see what I'm getting before I plunk down the $$$$$. Thanks - Jay (wannabe club racer)

Thanks Robert, you beat to the post. :-) Gary Richardson, another top Solo II Street Modd competitor and winning car owner, switched back and forth between the 17's (Kumho 710's) and 18's (Hoosier A3S04), so there are some that have tried both. However, like Robert said, "The Kumho 710 is THE tire to have for Solo2 now". -- Rex Tener rex_tener@yahoo.com
