Ted, If you have not found it already, I believe that you can buy the Wurth products from Carcareonline.com. hope this helps. I am refinishing a set of M Contours this weekend and need the paint and clear coat to finish this up. Thing is, I don't want to order the Wurths online since I want to do this work tomorrow. Anyone know of any stores I could check that would sell this stuff and the clear coat? Also, I'm assuming I need 2 cans paint and 1 of clear coat... right? Any speciality places in the Northern VA area too if no big retailers. Thanks! ted

A difficult read: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=73582&highlight=clutch+hose Properly bleeding the clutch made my pedal feel pretty good: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38242&highlight=clutch+bleed Replacing the center over spring with the non M extension spring makes it close to perfect. http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=79181 Will also be replacing the restricted hose with a stainless steal braided one if I can find one with the right hose size. Stock hose size is AN-5.

I think it should be called a Clutch Defeat Valve or Clutch Destroy Valve. It helps to eat your clutch up at an alarming rate. On top of that you have an ever moving clutch threshold and you end up with messy shifts. It makes for a very un-BMW like experience. It can be found on the slave cylinder, or up the line at a small junction. I put a removal guide on my website under the tech section (e36 CDV) with pictures. -Justin '76 02 '97 m3 http://www.bmw2002.net

When I replaced my clutch I noticed that one was failing. The dealer wanted ~$37 for these and that seems quite high to me. IIRC, waaaay back Chester mentioned that these were $25 for the whole hanger. Is there a BMW 'repair kit' for these that is cheaper? Any vendors have these at a more reasonable cost? Did my dealer mis-quote? Jeremy

Yeah, they're pricey. > Is there a BMW 'repair kit' for these that is cheaper? There use to be an exhaust mounting kit which included everything you might want (bolts, brackets, copper nuts) *except* the rubber hangers. It's now NLA through BMW, although you might still find one around. > Any vendors have these at a more reasonable cost? A quick check on Bimmerparts.com shows they have the hangers for $18.52 each, and the hardware mounting kit for $22.99. Neil 96 M3

He says he's checked the weather stripping and it looks fine, but can't see where else it would leak. Anybody have a similar experience and know a potential fix? I told him to drive the M5 on rainy days but he doesn't see that as a viable solution... Thanks, Shane K. '96 M3 '94 325 #335JP/#76ITS __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? I *just* started having that problem myself and I was going to ask some people here about it. I doubt it's a coincidence, though. I wonder if it has something to do with the weather? It's been particularly cold here in San Diego the last week or two... (yeah yeah... 40-45 degrees at night is "cold" in San Diego) :) It also seems to get better as the car warms up... - Som On Tue, 7 Dec 2004 23:08:00 -0600, E36M3 wrote > -------------------- 2 -------------------- > Date: Sun, 5 Dec 2004 18:09:01 -0600 > From: "Robert Exconde (M3)" <99e36m3@exconde.com> > Subject: One More thing about my shifter > > One more question, > > My shifter is no leaning to the right.
