They may have a 6 available. Slightly larger physical dimensions. Don't count on it being as light as our E36M3/4's. I'm probably going to invest a bit more in my current 98 (... It is fairly common, got mine at a generic auto parts place. Just take out the screw below the light switch. The switch and air vent come out together as I recall. Pull the bulb from the side of the switch and bring it to match up with a new one. One thing you will notice after changing the bulb is that it is always on when the key is in the run position. --Bill

#9. Suggestions for Delrin CA bushing squeak? - from Steve Klein

Date: Tue, 14 Dec 2004 11:17:37 -0600 From: Steve Klein <klein@robinsonad.com> Subject: Suggestions for Delrin CA bushing squeak? With less panic and fear of an electrical fire this time. . . Hi, Gang- I've got the aluminum lower control arms on my '95 M3, and earlier this year I replaced some cruddy urethane CAB's with the Delrin parts from Bimmerworld. The front feels great, except for the loud (LOUD) squeaking I get going over any bumps whatsoever. They were a very tight fit to get on, which I expected, but something about the mating of the Delrin and the aluminum causes a loud, floorboard like squeak/squeal that's magnified by the lollipops bolting right to the tub. As the weather has cooled off, it has diminished occasionally, which I attribute to material contraction. I applied a little grease upon install, but the fit was so tight that it effectively squeezed most of it off. My current line of thought is to remove the bushings and try very carefully shaving little bits at a time until I get a snug, but more freely rotating fit. Or, shaving tiny reliefs around the insides so there are a number of shorter contact patches, rather than one continuous interface. Tots? Anyone? All suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks, Steve

IANAME (I am not a mechanical engineer), but my gut tells me that if you go down the 2nd path (making splines or notches in the bushing), it will wear quickly and you will end up with a very loose bushing. hopefully someone has some magic delrin grease they can suggest. or maybe taking it to a machinist to have them accurately remove .001" material from inside the bushing. -zs (knows firsthand how much temperature affects delrin -- i use it as a "zero clearance insert" in my table saw, and have noticed that as it is colder, it is much easier to insert/remove from the saw.)
