Well.... :-) I was rather surprised when I sat down and wrote the mods list out. I couldn't believe I'd done that much to the car. Seriously, the car is up for sale... -josh -------------- Original message -------------- > Date: Fri, 31 Dec 2004 22:24:23 +0000 > From: Mike VanAmburgh > Subject: Re: [E36M3] Toying with selling the M3, make offer! > > C'mon Josh, you don't actually want to sell this car. The car and I are both located in Loveland, CO, about an hour north of Denver CO. I did a carfax on the car when I bought it and if memory serves I'm the 4th owner. The guy I bought it from only had it 10 months, he was a young guy and I think he was pretty upside down in it, so he sold it to me. I have no knowledge or info of the other owners. The $10,500 asking price is if the car is bone stock. The price goes up from there depending on what mods stay on the car... -josh -------------- Original message -------------- > Josh, > > Got any digital Pics? Also, where are you and the car located? #3. Techno Violet - from david kroth

Date: Fri, 31 Dec 2004 20:00:10 -0800 (PST) From: david kroth <david_kroth@yahoo.com> Subject: Techno Violet I've had my Techno Violet M3 for about three months now. It came from the PO with a red/blue pinstripe on it. The pinstripe is stick-on and is starting to peel. I'm planning on removing it in the spring. At first I thought it was an aftermarket add-on. But given that M colors are red, purple, and blue I'm wondering if this was a factory/dealer option playing off the purple color of the car. Anyone know for sure? ===== David Kroth david_kroth@yahoo.com __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Send a seasonal email greeting and help others. Hi Daivid, I have a '97 TechnoViolet -- no stripe! The Dealer or the PO may have added it, but not the Factory. If you like that sort of thing, I would have it painted on by a professional. I had this work done on a previous car with excellent results. Never need to worry about peeling ;-)) Happy New Year! I've removed the Velcro but have adhesive left over. Any suggestions on products that will be able to take off the adhesive but not damage the plastic? Thanks in advance! Drive Safely, Raza

#9. Will these fit??? - from Mdriver13@aol.com

Date: Sat, 1 Jan 2005 17:50:10 EST From: Mdriver13@aol.com Subject: Will these fit??? Group, I know we cover tire fitment quite a bit, but I can't remember if anyone has asked about whether the Pirelli Corsa 255/40/17 will fit an M3? I'm rolled in the back and use 15mm spacers in the front already. For street I run that size in the rear using Kumho Ecsta 712's. TireRack has a special on these right now for $128 each. I think they are a pretty good tire, from what I've read, at least for $128 ;-)) TIA, Bob Gill 97 ///M3 coupe Philly Region SCCA 2nd Place BSP - PA State Championship 2004

As Mel said, probably an add-on by the dealer or PO. FWIW, my Techno Violet M3 has ///M stripes painted on, most likely done by the originating dealer (NY State). After 6 years of washing/waxing/detailing, they're starting to fade/wear out. Oh well. Jim Bassett
