I see there's a long list of replies already, so pardon me if this has been covered (I'm just so thrilled you're back :-)). The hood shocks are fairly inexpensive to get and fairly easy to replace, at least they were on the '98 M3. Bimmerparts.com has always had good parts prices IME. I also get a few BMW parts from a local source, Bavarian Motorsports in Milpitas. Ramon is a fellow track nut as well as a damn good mechanic. If you contact him, tell him I sent you - in spite of that, he should treat you well :-) Welcome back again, and hope to see you soon. Not sure why anyone would think it's "DEENAN" <g>, every time I've heard the company or Steve referred to, it's been "DYNAN". Date: Mon, 17 Jan 2005 13:06:06 -0500 From: Andrej Dolenc <adolenc@erols.com> Subject: Removing / Adjusting windshield wiper arm? Greetings peeps, Quick question. How does one remove / adjust the whole windshield wiper arm (the whole assembly, not just the blade). I had the windshield replaced recently, the installers did a great job with the windshield, but put on the drivers side wiper a little too low. Does it just pull off? Or is there mebbe a nut hidden under a cover cap? Thanks, Andrej '97 M3

Correct. > Eventually the late 4 door > USA cars were being built with vinyl seats after BMW ran out of the leather > sport seats... Complete with a credit on the window sticker for having been > screwed out of the leather. This, however is incorrect. The "leather credit" cars you refer to, did in fact get leather seats, but the ///M stripes were not on the backrests - they were in this respect exactly like the non-M "sport" seats. The ///M stripes were instead on the headrests (front and rear). The cars did receive a $500 credit on the window sticker. (IMO, I like the ///M stripes on the headrests :-)) Cheers, Jim Bassett 1998 M3/4 - with "leather credit" :-) 1993 325is #44 JP - no leather left in the car :-) ---------------------------------------------------------------- This message was sent using IMP, the Internet Messaging Program.

At the same time, however, I'm wondering if it's not a > bad idea to replace the other 5 coils. If one goes bad, is it generally a > sign the the rest may be following soon? It was recommended to me to replace all 6 (did this on the race car). Also, I don't know about the M3, but for the 325 there 2 different brands, Bremi and Bosch. You want to replace with the same brand, as there can be DME/coil issues with using the "wrong" brand. > If replacing them all is a good idea, how tough is it to do so? <Boggle> Do you mean to tell me you've NEVER changed your own spark plugs? :-) It is an easy, but somewhat time consuming job - all those 10mm bolts :-) Which, BTW, are a better choice than using nuts as the 325 does (haven't dropped one yet <knock on wood>). Looks like Andrej and Neil have covered the instructions.
