They will be subject to the exact same tests as all the other bulbs that will be in it. The data will be presented in exactly the same way. If they're good - they get reported as good. If they're crap that gets reported also - and someone will have 500 crap bulbs. And all the test parameters are being published just in case you want to repeat the tests. #3. Stupid camber plate tricks - from Alain van der Heide

Date: Tue, 8 Mar 2005 22:12:01 -0700 From: "Alain van der Heide" <ajvdh1@comcast.net> Subject: Stupid camber plate tricks Like a couple of other folks on this list, I run adjustable camber plates in front. Ground Control, for those keeping score. As anyone else who's tried to adjust them at the track knows, it can be a bit of a pain. I do it in conjunction with swapping my wheels, i.e. while I've jacked up one side of the car, I loosen the nuts on the strut tower and use some kind of persuader to shove that camber plate over. It takes a bit of effort and leaves nice gouge marks. Pulling 'em back to their street setting before going home seems to be much easier - they want to move back out. One of my fellow autocrossers accidently found a very low-effort way to push the plates on his M Roadster their maximum setting: While all four wheels were on the ground, he had loosened the strut tower nuts on the right side. He got distracted and jacked up the left side of the car, and wallah! The plate moved all the way over all by itself. No levering, no cussing, no gouging. I tried it on my E36, and sho' 'nuff it works. Incidently, the M-roadster in question runs TC Kline plates, so now we know this trick works for both brands. - Alain

You REALLY don't get it do you? These are not the blue/bling bulbs that you seem to be confusing them with. They are an entirely different design that apparently you don't understand the significance of. These are not the dichroic crap that is being sold as "blue" bulbs or HID bulbs. I don't give a rat's ass about your deadline. They'll get here when they get here. Now Don, oh great sage, tell me, what other bulb type is actually also an HIR bulb in yet another base type? So.... Hi Alain, I don't even have to jack up my M3 with the TC Kline camber plates. I just loosen the strut tower nuts and they go to max camber. I do have to jack up each side to get them to go back to minimum camber. :-) I use White Lightning, a wax based lubricant, to the reduce the galling and stiction of the plates sliding on each other. However, White Lightning will discolor anodized aluminum. -- Rex Tener rex_tener@yahoo.com
