Both of the keyless entry FOBs for my 95 M3 are broken (won't stay on my keychain). The part number doesn't come up in the ETK. I checked Autozone that has ads they say they have repleacement FOBs, but they don't have one for the car. I emailed Alpine to see if I could just buy the cover but they never replied. Suggestions? Thanks, Bruce

In fact, it's the only playstation game I own. For the PC, check out GTR. It's supposed to be the new king of realistic driving games. The demo is available now and is supposed to be released in the US at the end of the month. www.gtr-game.com Jeremy Lucas 95 M3

TOCA Driver 2 has a pretty good physics model, good AI, a damage model and a ton of tracks including: Elkhart Lake, Laguna, Road Atlanta and all the favorite european tracks. It also supports 900 degree mode for the wheel and A CLUTCH if you can find a wheel sporting one. GT4 is a great game as well, but IMO TOCA has something that makes it superior. Online play... with USB headset support so you can learn to swear in multiple languages ;) There is something decidedly cool about racing people on 3 continents in DTM cars while talking trash. Be warned, its pretty hard - and with the damage model you might not even finish unless you drive like its a real car.

Date: Sun, 13 Mar 2005 21:16:22 EST From: Shelhart2@aol.com Subject: heat shield one last time.. I took down the exhaust, rear hangers and the heat shield under the rear muffler. The heat shield has simply broken down due to age and was rattling against the body. Is this a dealer stock item or do I have any other options? Do I need it? Shel 1998 M3 2002 996

#6. Head Gasket Job - from Frank Walker

Date: Sun, 13 Mar 2005 19:30:27 -0700 From: "Frank Walker" <frankirsten@msn.com> Subject: Head Gasket Job Hello All, I have cross posted this hoping to get possibly a good link and info regarding the replacement of my 1995 M3 (90K miles with a build date of 4/95) head gasket. It has started to leak pretty bad near the rear of the engine, but I have no coolant showing up in the oil. I知 trying to figure out to what extent I should replace/service parts since I値l have the top end off. I知 out in Tucson, so heat if a factor regarding hoses and the cooling system. I think it would be prudent to replace the heater hoses while the head is off. I知 considering purchasing silicone hoses for the main cooling system. I知 also contemplating removing the engine driven cooling fan and going to an electrical fan system. Any suggestions? Is there a lower temp thermostat that is recommended for hot climates? I also want to have the head serviced, I believe it has hydraulic lifters, so they should not need to be replaced/serviced. But, I would like to have the valve retainers replaced with the stronger ones, but I can稚 remember the part number. Should I also replace the knock sensors since I致e got the intake off the head? I知 aiming at getting the top end back to very fresh state of being, so I知 asking for advice and recommended service procedures. Thanks in advance for your advice and assistance. Cordially, Frank

AFAIK, they no longer support them either. So, you may be SOL. Shel, you didn't happen to get pics of where it broke, did you? Or at least a description of where it broke down? I have something rattling down there as well.. Sounds heat shieldish.. But having a clue where to look, would be good for me :) I recently R&R'd the dust shield for the driveshaft while doing driveline work, so the odds its because I did something wrong are higher than usual.. But I didn't have any leftover parts.. so.. If you can provide some insight into where I should be looking.. it would be helpful.. I don't want to put the car on stands, and then fire it up to locate the rattle aurally. #10. GC coil-over suspension Part II - from Mo Karamat
Top
Date: Mon, 14 Mar 2005 00:16:11 -0500 From: Mo Karamat <karamatm@optonline.net> Subject: GC coil-over suspension Part II Dear All, First, thanks very much to everyone to responded with their thoughts, and suggestions. It seems that the passenger side settled a bit over the past few days, so I raised the adjuster. Now the passenger side is closer to the top of the threads. I can only see 3 thread rings above the adjuster. (On the driver side, I cannot see any threads) From the ground to the fender lip, here are the measurements now.. Driver - 24.5" Pass - 24.25 On the read Driver - 24.75" Pass - 25.5" So the passenger side is ~1/4" lower than the driver side. I checked all of the part numbers, and they all match. I also measured both front struts, and they are the same size.. I would guess that the heights are close enough, but what bothers me is the issue of not being able to run "normal" camber for the street.. Any thoughts on getting taller springs? I have 6" 440lbs in the front, and 6.5" 545lbs springs in the rear.. Thanks! Mo 98 M3/4
