I have some people with E46 cars that are interested in my Blizzak/Borbet wheels and tires for sale. Is it likely that those wheels will fit an E46 325 properly? -Scott Spangenberg __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! The cooling system is designed to send warm/hot water to the heater before the thermostat opens, there is a loop that bypasses the thermostat just for that purpose. Idea being, people like heat quickly.. Bet it just hadn't warmed up enough to open the thermostat once you got the heater free of air. It was happily sending all the engine heat to the heater 'cause it thought you wanted that. _______D_o_n__________S_p_r_i_n_g__L_a_k_e__H_t_s____________©1946________ Don Eilenberger, Spring Lk Hts, NJ - http://www.njsbmwr.org/ '98 M3c/5, '03 525iT, '87 K75S

I am waiting too. I figure I'll pick one up in the mid 20s a couple of years after the E90 M car is released. -- Jamie Howton 2000 M5 1995 M3 Hampshire, IL

#5. Primary Timing Chain Access - from Steve Klein
Top
Date: Tue, 22 Mar 2005 10:52:17 -0600 From: Steve Klein <klein@robinsonad.com> Subject: Primary Timing Chain Access Hey, Grouppe- To replace the primary timing chain, is it a must to remove the front cover that runs from the VANOS down to the oil pan? I can't tell from Bentley or the ETK, but I thought at one time there was a separate cover behind the harmonic balancer that would allow me to access the lower end of the chain to slip it off the sprocket and replace it. Or, do I need to set aside a whole weekend and do this and the oil pump nut at one go? Thanks in advance, Steve

The timing case is separate, but I think it all has to come off. This begs the obvious question though, why are you replacing your primary timing chain, is there something wrong with it? -- Jamie Howton 2000 M5 1995 M3 Hampshire, IL

A 30 minute drive with a lot of low speed, high rev action proved that it will eventually warm up. At least I know that I can dismantle and reassemble an M3 cooling system in 30 min flat now ;)

#9. large EVAP leak, what to do? - from Theodore Serbinski

Date: Tue, 22 Mar 2005 14:44:04 -0500 From: Theodore Serbinski <stanson@gmail.com> Subject: large EVAP leak, what to do? Guys, I have the Check Engine light with large EVAP error on my car for a while now and I can't seem to shake it. I've bought a new gas cap and lightly greased the cap, but no luck. Replaced the clamps on the charcoal brick canister, no luck either. I seem to recall something about an o-ring I need to replace... was it the fuel filter or fuel pump? Also speaking of that, should I replace my fuel pump? I have heard of them going bad a few times and it's related to my large EVAP maybe time too? Thanks! ted

You may need the practice :-) (Glad you got the "issue" resolved, BTW.) Jim Bassett
