Well, you know how this kind of thing goes: I'm absolutely positively sure I'm right, up to the point where I'm proven wrong! However I did paint mark the connectors and the the cat for ID before disconnecting. Also the way the connectors are staggered on the harness from the engine compartment matches how the wiring from the sensors naturally arranges itself, since one sensor is farther away on the other exhaust run. > If switched, this would trip the fault. Just a thought. Yeah, I've been thinking about that and I'm not sure it would. The only way the car has of knowing which after-cat sensor is which is from which harness branch they're connected to. I can't be absolutely sure about this, but I think the result of hooking them up wrong would only be incorrect fault reporting by cylinder bank. Note this definitely is *not* the case for the pre-cat sensors. Swapping their connections screws up the engine management. Ask me how I know... Just bleed it in place, and as someone has already mentioned, make sure that the brake fluid doesn't get low in the reservoir or else you will have to cycle the clutch pedal by hand about 50 times before it rises by itself. That doesn't have any adverse effects on the sensors does it, the swapping that is? ted

#6. size of bulbs in ellipsoids? - from Theodore Serbinski

Date: Thu, 24 Mar 2005 16:19:36 -0500 From: Theodore Serbinski <stanson@gmail.com> Subject: size of bulbs in ellipsoids? Guys, just want to double check the size of bulbs before I buy new ones. I have the Bosch ellipsoids + DDEs and unfortanuetly, one of my bulbs already burnt out and want to get matching fogs at the same time. H1s for both low beams and fog lights, correct? What about high beams? What size are those? Are those higher wattage H1s or H7s? Can't seem to find the specs on that one. And for the curious, I plan on getting the Osram Silverstar H1s from here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=36476&item=7963852383&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW Thanks! ted

However, all of the Osrams I see only come in one type (wattage I'm assuming is 55w?) ... no where to buy higher wattage ones, say for hi-beams. What do you guys throw in there for hi-beams? Seems like regular Osrams Silverstars will be great for low-beams and fog-lights, just need a hi-beam bulb. #8. Rear Trailing Arm Bushing Recommendations? - from Scott Spangenberg

Date: Thu, 24 Mar 2005 14:08:33 -0800 (PST) From: Scott Spangenberg <cpmustang2001@yahoo.com> Subject: Rear Trailing Arm Bushing Recommendations? Since I plan to autocross and open track my new-to-me '95 M3, I figure I better replace/upgrade the RTA bushings and upper shock mounts too. I want to start with a known quantity before I try to tune the car. I am not concerned with class rules (will probably autox in Street Mod anyway), so what's the best RTA bushing for a car that sees summer daily street duty, plus autox and track time? Is it best to just use stock bushings and replace frequently, or are there poly (or other) options that better suit my usage? I understand that a harder bushing will translate to a harsher ride somewhat, but that's not a huge concern either. -Scott Spangenberg __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
