It came with the car and was installed when I bought it 18 months ago. I just walked outside to double-check that there is nothing stamped on the wing anywhere and there isn't. One odd thing is there is a small rectangular indention in the very center of the plastic cover over the bulb(s), which is where I would expect a part number to be stamped, but it is blank. Since I can't send a picture to the list, the best I can say is that it is very, very similar to the factory rear spoiler that was a dealer installed option when the car was new. #2. Introduction and Question - from Matt Weimer

Date: Wed, 30 Mar 2005 16:41:48 -0800 (PST) From: Matt Weimer <mjweimer@yahoo.com> Subject: Introduction and Question Gruppe, I have been lurking on the list now for several weeks and thought I would introduce myself... I purchased a stock Alpineweiss/Schwarz '95 M3 several weeks ago with 110k and extensive maintenance records, still running the original radiator (!) and water pump. The only items that need attention, other than the rad/H2O pump replacement and an issue with the bumpstops on the Bilstein Sports, is that the clutch pedal engages very close to the floor. Is this indicative of a worn clutch or is there something else I should be looking into? There is evidence in the records of regular brake fluid replacement/bleeding. So far other than some really minor issues the car is great fun. Glad to be part of this list. I have a local friend that needs one himself. We need 3 to get them for $400 shipped to me in Dallas. I really think that shipping them twice would reduce the cost effectiveness of a GB....so....if there are 2 people that could pick them up in Dallas contact me so we can get this going. Thanks Bruce 95 M3 88 M3- getting a Euro 3.2 and needing a radiator

#4. changing the steering wheel -- need help - from Mdriver13@aol.com

Date: Wed, 30 Mar 2005 21:29:30 EST From: Mdriver13@aol.com Subject: changing the steering wheel -- need help Hi Group, Well, I thought I'd freshen up the interior by installing the '98/'99 model year steering wheel on my '97M3. Well, the general mechanics of the install went okay. There is an extra connector that is wired with the crash sensor that I left just hanging in the steering column. The back of my old wheel had a metal hub, while the newer wheel was just plastic. All things seemed to fit, but when I fired up the car, and turned the wheel lock-to-lock it made some strange sounds. So I need to know if anyone has performed this swap? Ron Stygar? Anyone? TIA, Bob Gill 97 ///M3 coupe Philly Region SCCA 2nd Place BSP - PA State Championship 2004

Did you install the center bolt before turning the wheel? If not, you will hear a crunching noise. Also, I believe the slip ring has a specific way to connect to the wheel. Hi Chester, Yes to all questions. The slip ring for the newer wheel looks different, though I've been told they should be interchangable...yes / no??? The little white pin that sits at about 1 o'clock does not have a like hole in the slip ring on the newer wheel...is this my problem? Can I switch slip rings? So the three spoker came with a slip ring or did you buy one? You need part number 32 34 1 162 111. Chester
